So who do we tank for next year because it turned out so well this time😘 - bazz
We are getting a good player. A player that actually deserves to play second line or D.
I don't know about others but I am tired of watching Higgins play second line or Weber in the line up.
Never once did the players on the ice tank. There is nothing wrong with fans wanting better talent. |

If JB trades down does anyone get upset? - thundachunk
Depends on the haul, but probably. It sucks to finish so low in the standings on not get into the top 3, but still shouldn't drop down just because. Guys that go at number 5 usually turn out to be good players and potentially really good. This doesn't help the sting, but we didn't expect the next few seasons to be pretty |

They'll get a good player, but I am disappointed. They had the number 3 spot and slipped. Luck of the draw, but disappointing. Whoever they pick at number 5 won't likely be a game changer like the first three and will not be ready for several years. |

Here is my dilemma . I want Logan Brown at 5 th and Logan Stanley at 33. Having two Logan's on the team is just Gay. We will go from being called the Sisters to being called the Girls. I don't know if I can endure another decade of ridicule so I am leaning towards drafting Tkachuk just for the embarrassment factor alone. Thoughts? |

Botch sent out a tweet that said Edmonton and Vancouver finished 2nd and 3rd last, but were the most likely to pick 4th and 5th. Thats what stings for me, the team wasn't very good and couldn't get points so the result was being so close to getting #1 and instead of getting a really nice consolation prize in a Finn, they're down to 5th. In a few years we might be laughing about our disappointment, but it stings a bit right now thats for sure |

I'm more jealous of Winnipeg. Never thought that would ever be a sentence. |

If we could grab something half way decent id be in to moving 5 for say 10. Take Brown at 10. If hes gone one of the 3 top dmen. |

Difference between 3rd and 5th is pretty significant. With the top 3 you know you're getting a game changer. Now they're more likely to end up with a player similar to Horvat. A quality player, really nice to have, but not necessarily dominant or a consistent threat that opposing coaches have to design special game plans to deal with. |

Yup and thats what I meant, right now the top 3 was the goal and they got so close but in the same way everyone was disappointed in the Schneider trade, Horvat is looking like a really good dependable player and makes it easier to think about. So hopefully however this draft pans out in a few years, Vancouver has a player that in a redraft/hindsight still fits that top 5 billing to ease things |

You still need a #1C. Time is running out. |
