Him and Nylander will slide because of red flags from the scouts. So I'm reading.

I think at our spot it's either Tkachuk or Dubois. Who do you take if both are available?
Dman at our spot makes no sense. Trade down 4-5 spots and still get 1 of the top 3.

Isn't that the same guy who said he brought a lucky charm. I think him and John Denver are full of sh!t.

Just food for thought...

Jaromir Jagr
Scott Stevens
Carey Price
Nino Niederreiter
Brayden Schenn
Phil Kessel
Blake Wheeler

Etc etc. all drafted in the five hole, but I'm intrigued by the idea of trading down to acquire a second first round pick.

I prefer dubois. Put up better numbers on a team with no marner, is bigger and plays multiple positions. I also think we will get him there. I see edmonton taking tkachuk

Dubois is a weird one. I've seen him quite a few times in the Q. It's really hard to judge players from the Q because, in general, they all play offense. Cycling the puck doesn't exist. Offensively he's right there, but (as with every single junior player to have ever existed) defensive game needs a bit of work. Think he's a tad more boom or bust (ish) than those around him, but I don't think the level of bust would be significant at all. Think he'll most likely be a winger though. Big lad

No not Brown, he's moving up, I was referring to McLeod.

Most, if not all, young players need to work on the defensive side of the game. Even Marc Crawford said the same of Matthews. But you can't teach offence, it's a gift.

Ever hear the Bill Torrey storey on Mike Bossy?

"Bill Torrey went back to Al Arbour and said, 'Here's our choice,'" "'We can take this guy, he's a really good two-way player, more of a defensive player, really knows how to check. Or we can get this guy, he might be a prolific scorer at the NHL level, but his defense isn't good.' Al Arbour said to Bill Torrey, 'Let's take the scorer, I can teach him to check. I can't teach the checker how to score.'"

really hoping for Dubois. The guy is going to be 6'2" 215-120lbs and has a nice combo of skill and edge. He may not be a franchise centre but could be a very solid number 1.

Yeah, that's why I bracketed it. Don't even know why analysts mention it. Of course they need work. It's redundant. A little bit like, he needs to grow as a weakness
