But they are pretty much proven losers. .

I would love to hear what all those people who are so upset the Leafs tanked, think they should have done...

Clarkson was a laughing stock contract... should they have kept him?

Phaneuf was routinely voted the most overrated player in the league and there were daily comments about how his was the worst contract in the league... so the Leafs should have kept him?

Kessel was routinely called a 1-dimensional, lazy player who had no leadership qualities... so should the Leafs have kept him?

SHould they not have traded away their assets at the last 2 deadlines, when they had ZERO realistic chance of making the playoffs?

Should they have played Bernier more, who gave the team absurdly bad goaltending the first couple months of the season?

Do they think Lupul, who is injured every year, was faking it?

We get trolled hard for years about this poop, and then when we get a management group that does something about it, finally, everyone is all butt hurt about us tanking...

I dunno. McDavid will be the best player in the NHL for the next 15 years so I'd love to have him but I think I'd keep the Leafs. Prospect depth is INSANE right now. We don't even have enough forward spots for our AHLers. We have 20 goal scorers as healthy scratch in the playoffs.

It kinda seems like a no-brainer to me.. And i honestly believe Matthews is going to suprise a lot of fans next year by how good he actually is.. hes better than Eichel for sure.

I had myself convinced we would pick fourth this draft. So pumped with how this lottery worked out. Hopefully Mathews turns out to be the legit #1 center we need.

Just need Lou Lams to address the goaltending and possibly our defense.

As for all the Stamkos talk, I agree with a poster who mentioned a while back that by the time most of our young guys are reaching free agency, Stamkos' deal will be nearing completion. If we can get him for anything at all reasonable, I say it can only help our team. How often do players of his caliber hit free agency while barely into their prime?

This should mean that bozak is gone this off season.
For once we have so many prospects, I can't even figure out who will make the leafs and when.
Internal competition for jobs will actually be a thing in Toronto.
