I don't either, and if I am the Leafs I don't want even that deal.

I am going to live in fear over the next couple of months that the Leafs out-smart themselves and trade the pick to AZ for some package including Strome.

This management group has done some good things, but they seem to be the type to make a deal like that.

Just hold the pick and take Matthews. Don't get too clever.

I'm honestly not worried anymore. This team has a plan. They won't trade the pick. They know the fans will outrage and they know they need an elite center with respectable size and a two way game.

Plus they already have high end depth in their prospects now plus a ton more picks coming up too.

with Stamkos coming to Toronto as well, Leafs will trade at least 4-5 off the following for top goalie and top pairing d-man:

jvr / kadri / bozak/ holland /sosnikov / gardiner / percy / loov/valiev pitts 2016 1st / tor 2016 2nd / wsh 2016 2nd

I do not agree wedgie.

The toughest thing to acquire is an elite #1 C. Matthews has a chance to be that guy. None of the other pieces is that tough to find IMO.

leafs will 100% sure draft Matthews (no trade 1st ovr).

So, something I am thinking this morning: Now that the leafs will have Mathews and íF they are able to sign Stamkos do they trade someone like willy to fill another need like top 4 D I and goalie?

No.

Three way trade= OEL & Domi, Matthews, McJesus. All three teams fill their needs, & the centres play where they want. Bonus for the Leafs would be Domi, Edm gets their stud D man, & Zona gets their hometown boy.
