Gotta think he would have done better than Bozak with Kessel.
And there goes Steen - the_eye
And where would that have got the Leafs? |

I think Horton may be the longest serving member of the Maple Leafs to never play a game for them. |

I don't follow bball, but I'll keep tabs on the Raptors and root for them, it would be amazing to see a big game 7 win for them and a second round. |

Well not really.
Most believe matthews would have been picked third last year.

Minus the toughness and grit? - Phenom
I'd be happy with a big net presence for those greasy goals and a guy who can take tough draws/zone starts and kill penalties. Grit can come.
Toughness, I don't even know what that is anymore in the NHL. Ain't fighting, that's for sure. |

after this superb draft lottery result, the real question is whether Leafs will offersheet (or trade for an offersheet possible player after discussions w the involved team) in 2016 (mrazek anyone? mckinnon or barrie?) or 2017 (or both!). |

He's a Leaf prospect now, of course he could only be a third overall. |

The (frank)in' way she goes bud..
The hockey world just can't get enough of us.. they turn to us when their team sucks for comfort. They love to use our players as decoys for their players lousy performances. And now they are all coming here (minus a few) to congratulate us on getting first, like they actually liked the Leafs all along. The worst thing about having a promising team with a bright future is watching all the band-wagoners come aboard. We waited a long (frank)ing time for this and endured some very hard times. |

Hypothetical: do we spend our UFA dollars on Lucic instead of Stamkos? Probably $6.5/5 years would do it.
JVR Matthews Marner
Lucic Nylander Hyman/Brown
Komarov Kadri Soshnikov
Greening Laich Michalek
All of a sudden, we have a forward group that looks like it could survive a physical playoff series. |

I think he feels the need to be the check against Leaf enthusiasm. I don't know who will be the better player between Eichel and Matthews, but if they're in the same conversation then that's a good thing for Leaf fans. Eichel is and will be an exceptional player. Hopefully Matthews will be as well. |

HELL TO THE NO. TO THE NO NO NO!
Why do some fans still want to sign players with little skill who are past their prime? |

So it went from being exciting with Stamkos, to being a Clarkson signing. Great work man |

I don't think that would be enough to sign Lucic. Some team will offer him a 7 year deal for ridiculous money that they will come to regret. |
