He did not help his team improve record wise, so that would be my argument against him. But he is the best rookie.

But then Hammond should've won the Vezina and Hart last year because he took a team that was pretty damn close to last place and went 20-1-2 with a 1.79 and a .941. So Hammond had both the numbers, and he massively improved his team.

I mean hindsight allows us to solidify Price's wins, but in the moment with those numbers in a limited amount of time just isn't enough to give someone a win, no matter how dominant they might be.
