Greatest Beatle of all time? - YuenglingJagr
the hipster answer is harrison
but the correct answer is William Campbell, the McCartney lookalike they replaced him with after he died in the car crash in 1966 |

I just brought this up in the Flames thread...but do you think Brad Berry gets an NHL coaching job? Flyers have proven the model works - YuenglingJagr
A sample size of one shouldn't be used as proof of anything. That's bad science. |

Zucker, Dumba, Granland, Coyle, Niederreider, Haula, Brodin all 25 and under...scandella and spurgeon only 26. They will be fine if they do what is necessary to keep them around while sacrificing the high priced guys - YuenglingJagr

not yet confirmed...and I still am willing to put money on the NHL offering a buyout window if they go that route |

It's kind of like Brayden Schenn... you knew there was a substantial amount of talent there, but you wondered how much of it he'd be able to tap into because a lot of the stuff you mentioned above.
I think we'll see flashes w/ Laughts for 3-4 more years before he reaches that level of consistency and familiarity where he can be an every day contributor. - Tomahawk
I hope it can happen sooner than that. I think we see Laughton take significant steps next season and grab onto a bigger role on the team.

It is a bit like Schenn: IQ questions, struggles at center bc of it, flashes...except Schenn has always had a much higher ceiling then Laughts and is definitely a more skilled player.
If Laughton can be converted to wing successfully, get his confidence underneath him, I still see a guy who can maybe hit 20 goals, 35-40 points in a scoring role with PK and PP duties. There's no reason he shouldn't be a regular on both. He's not the player we all thought he was, but he can still be a useful one if put into the right situation. I liked how in his interview he alluded to Hak/Hexy preferring him at wing long term. That's a start. - Mononoke
Plenty of room on this team for hard nosed 20 goal winger. I think Laughton is primed to take the place of Schenn as the player fans get impatient with. 100 or so games into his NHL career, and his hockey sense is being questioned. Not the player we all thought he was? Why can't we just be patient, and let a player develop into the player he is going to be, and give him some time to do so!
