Trade Bishop, trade Callahan.
There is Stamkos Money. - ImThatGuy
Not really 2 players are going to make 7m
Tyler Johnson I think I'll get for 5 million year which would be reasonable
Stamkos is not going to take a hometown discount he ready stated that |

The home town discount is a fairy tale. Past 10 years , how many have left money on the table to sign. |

Kucherov 6.5 long term
Johnson 5.5 long term
Bishop will probably get close to Crawford or Quick money
Hedman 7.5 - 8
That's a lot of cap |

If Laine was a center it would be a 50/50 split of him and Matthews... so you are off a little bit. |

That's not really a reason like I need to know like what weaknesses you seen his game that make you come to this judgment you might be the first person that does not like his game that's why am wondering .. Is there something that turns you off about him |

They are at 52MM right now
If they keep the defense I think he can. Goalies are interchangeable besides Price and Lundqvist, IMO
Trading Callahan frees up 5.8
Trading bishop frees up 6
Trade Carle (hold 1.5) and a 3rd for a 4th Frees Up 4
There is 16MM freed up.

Not really he's very close in the rankings right now it's 50-50 Depends on team needs so of course the center is going to go first . Like for example if Edmonton was picking first overall They could take Laine
There's really no wrong answer they're both great players |

Get creative and Make it work. It's what the GM and Staff is paid to do.
That 16MM is tied up to bring them back to 52MM. If cap is at 71 they still have 19MM
They are at 52 going into next season.
52 - 16 (From trades) = 36
Stamkos 10.5
Kucherov 6
36+10.5 + 6 = 52.5
Cap is 71.

He basically Out produced his captain and the franchise player of the team at age 22 I think he has everything going for him he's been improving ever since his first year I think he tops 40 Goals next year and the crazy part is he still in his prime Think about how good he's going to be in four years |

In terms of Matthews, Laine, and puljujarvi, the only aspect that Laine excels over the other two is goal scoring.
I truly feel out of all 3 of them, puljujarvi will have the best career of them. All around solid game, and is probably the fastest out of the 3. |

I think I need to hug you are you saying that because you don't like drafting defenseman in the top 10 because they never work out unless there are the rare ones that come out |

I think it would be a lot smarter to save the money and just spread the money around then signing Stamkos when they already have players that can out produce him just watching the Tampa Bay games can you say that they miss Stamkos I cant

Def not a fan of taking them in the top 5 at least. They would have to knock my socks off like put up 75+ points in Juniors or something like that. Ekblad is a good player (still not convinced he was the best pick there) but i just think back to like ryan murray going 2nd overall |

If we are adding Ebs. Do we target a winger at 4?
Kane
Eichel
Reinhart
O'Reilly
Eberle
Stamkos
Where is the room? - sbroads24
Tkachuk could replace Kane when his contract is up. Not a bad thing to have developing slowly. |

I think Reinhart is proof positive that unless their name is "Eichel", "McDavid", or "Matthews"...not rushing them into the NHL pays dividends |
