I wonder what is wrong with Fehr? Hopefully he will play. |

To me this series is about a team that is pretty full of itself (the Caps) vs. a team that is pretty sure of itself (the Pens). So, even though the Pens will be missing their top D man tonight, it wouldn't surprise me to see them shrug off adversity and beat a Caps team who might very well show up thinking they have this one in the bag because of how they played last game and Letang's absence.
It's funny - when this series started, I was definitely hoping the Caps would win... but now, that sentiment is not as strong. |

Special teams are huge tonight... If the Pens can get a couple goals out of the power play, it could be enough to keep them afloat 5 on 5.

Encouraging. Pittsburgh's forward's need to have their best game of the playoffs. Murray needs to stand tall.
We got this brah.

Pens want to win tonight, they will need to get it done with Crosby. |

I hope Fehr plays...I can't see Sestito getting into this game but who knows.
I expect to see Crosby and Malkin contribute in more noticeable ways tonight...a goal by each.
I think Sullivan has done a good job of keeping the focus on playing their game...tonight will be their biggest test yet.
Pretty sure when they play their game, there's nobody in the East that can beat them.
Just said they, their or there 5 times (now 8) in three sentences...I'll see myself out. |

I'm confused. Didn't the Penguins lose that game at bottom 4-1? If so, how can you say they'll be fine without him?
Granted, you go on to say that it doesn't matter, but if that's the case, then why even bring it up? |

No reason not to call up Sprong if Fehr and Rust are out. Lightly shift sprong but he's a guy that if you protect him can add an offensive spark especially to a guy like Malkin who doesn't have skilled wingers right now. |

But imagine the hilarity if Sestito actually plays!
He'd probably be assigned a game misconduct during the national anthem -- the refs wouldn't take any chances. |

Quotes not working, for sditulli:
I see both sides of this. On one hand WBS plays tonite. Not that they would sacrifice the parent club for the minor league team, but Sprong would likely see minimal min if he played for Pittsburgh while being a major factor for WBS. On the other hand if Sprong caught lightning in a bottle with Geno that would obviously would be awesome and he's already burned year one of his ELC, so why not? Personally I'd bring Sprong up if Fehr and Rust are both out. If he sucks, then send him back down. No harm really. |

I think the best cure for no Letang would be a big game from Geno Machino. I could see him having a big game tonight, maybe getting 2 on the power play and another at even strength. One of our stars has a big game and we can certainly still get a win without Letang, Maatta, Rust, and possibly Fehr. |

Call me confused ... so the tweet said Rust and Maatta are gametime decisions, but the comment after said if Fehr and Rust aren't able to go ...
So ... Fehr is now injured or is that a mistake. |

Bill West from the trib tweeted a little bit ago that basically Rust and Maatta were more of a longshot and Fehr really is a GTD.

Not that I really respected Wash before, but it reeks of desperation. Pens couldn't have played much worse Mon and Wash couldn't have played much better, yet they still lost. With the Johansson charade and the carousel with their third dpair it seems as if Trotz is running out of options. I'm saying this as an obvious Pens homer, but (frank) em. |

Definitely don't want to see Maatta out there tonight. I think it would be best for him to come back next series, of course, if we make it. |
