I agree.

He very well could be a late Bloomer. But the likelihood is he's just a product of great linemates and being 2-3 yrs older then most his competition. I really don't get the Marchand/Shaw comparable. This guy is a honest hard working player. He plays hard all the time and is pure hustle. He shows no indication of being a guy who crosses the line. Probably has a chance to be bottom 6 forward/energy guy.

You have no idea what you're talking about there's a difference between being lazy and making skating look easy. If he was lazy he wouldn't be able to out skate everyone and win almost all his puck races. Also wins alot of puck battles in the corners. Toronto hate.

I think these are relevant for sure but I still think you need to look at them in context. First of all comparing scoring from one league to another is tricky.

The top scorers in the OHL scored quite a bit more and Tkachuk ranks 5th among them with his two line mates at 2 and 3. The top scorers in the Q don't score nearly as much and Dubois ranks 3rd with his line mates 10th and 19th.

They both are clearly the best draft eligible player in their leagues but to say that Dubois's point totals are not even close to Tkachuk's is disingenuous when you look at how each player performs to his peers.

Yeah that's not true at all. He wouldn't of been playing as much as he did to end the year under Babcock if that was the case. You have probably hardly ever watched the kid. He's the leafs currently 2nd top prospect and going to be 3rd right away. Just cause he would be hands down Van's top prospect doesn't make him the best in the universe come on.

Confident we still come out on top....our drafting is better than oilers.
Its possible there are surprises from top seeded teams that dont pick who we'd expect and push the rest down the line. If oilers pick a D we can take tkachuk....IF another makes a surprise we COULD end up with puljijarvi....Id say 2nd part is unlikely though. We never know either, JB could take a D or move up in draft even.
