I think we should draft Nylander.. then make a big trade with Toronto to get the other Nylander. Replace the Swedish brothers with Swedish brothers. Think about it. - djlarose
So we can remain fleecy soft for another 10 years? |

All of us could put together better line ups than Cullen, he doesn't know poop from cheese. - A_SteamingLombardi
Give him a break, he was putting it together between pitches during the Blue Jays game. |

I wouldn't mind Gryba as some cheap muscle bottom pair. I don't see Pedan as ready |

Caggiula probably got offered starting line up to play for Edmonton. Benning probably said we want to develop you. We will give you every opportunity to make the line up. |

graphite and carbon fibre composites, foam core blades. Ridiculously light, flexible yet strong enough to stay in one piece majority of the time - WhiteLie
think even gretzky used a graphite stick at the end. Theyve been around a long time then |

They were great for cross-checking though. - YeOldTimer
ahhh yes....thinking alike.... nothing like a good cross check to your opponent. Hockey is way more fun that way. |

I think these are relevant for sure but I still think you need to look at them in context. First of all comparing scoring from one league to another is tricky.
The top scorers in the OHL scored quite a bit more and Tkachuk ranks 5th among them with his two line mates at 2 and 3. The top scorers in the Q don't score nearly as much and Dubois ranks 3rd with his line mates 10th and 19th.
They both are clearly the best draft eligible player in their leagues but to say that Dubois's point totals are not even close to Tkachuk's is disingenuous when you look at how each player performs to his peers.
Labanc Barrie 127
Dvorak London 121
Marner London 116
Strome Erie 111
Tkachuk London 107
In the QMJHL
Garland Montreal 128
Perron Rouyn-Noranda 108
Dubois Cape Breton 99
D'Aoust Shawinigan 98
Abramov Gatineau 93 - belcherbd
good info and perspective. thanks for posting. And its true there is a lot to be considered.
But when it comes to watching video, tkachuk does look better right now.
JB will know best and make that move. Guess it will depend on how JB feels about if Dubois is likely to reach that potential. |

Probably - Retinalz
He very well could be a late Bloomer. But the likelihood is he's just a product of great linemates and being 2-3 yrs older then most his competition. I really don't get the Marchand/Shaw comparable. This guy is a honest hard working player. He plays hard all the time and is pure hustle. He shows no indication of being a guy who crosses the line. Probably has a chance to be bottom 6 forward/energy guy. |
