I think the team can do really well next year with the crop of forwards they have as long they can upgrade on defence. Any thoughts on who they target?

I think you'll see addition by subtraction if they're lucky: No Weber and Bartowski and better Centre depth should fix a lot of problems.

My comment is with respect to Brouwer (he did it again today with a nice goal against the Stars). If I were Benning I would definitely seriously be thinking about making him a deal. The guy brings leadership, some scoring, and truculence, not to mention doesn't take a night off. Moreso, it would seem his cap hit will be much more palatable as opposed to other free agents like Lucic et al. Lastly, I know he's a team player and has always had the respect of his teammates (this, going back to his Washington days) as well as opposing players
