I don't care if anyone responds. I'm about to lay out 8 pages of rubber... even if I have to disagree with myself.
Edit: Wait, GoT is about to start. Ignore the above. |

I think fans are just desperate for anything interesting to talk about. Horvat, Virtanen, and Boeser are about the only interesting topics surrounding the canucks right now.
Even discussing the 5th pick is boring. At least until JB does something with it. - bloatedmosquito
Thats what we do here👍👍Armchair GM is our right 😂😂
U r free to do post trade mortems. Go crazy.

no spoliers...i gotta wait a good 5 hours till i get to download it.
When you get back we can discuss any of the following:
signing Lucic - i'm pro, so you get the easy position there.
re-signing Hamhuis
bringing up Subban and pairing him with Tryamkin.
firing Glen G and bringing Green up as an assistant coach.

Trading our pick and Center prospect with most upside for a midget RFA defensemen is not a good use of page space.
Might as well go back to discussing stamkos and Lucic on our first line.... |

Listen up & don't backtrack & add new info.
He is still not a #6 in Dallas IMO
U stated league wide not specifics. He is better than #6 in Dallas. - Nighthawk
I'm not back tracking. I don't want Hamhuis back and I've had the same stance all year. His time should be done as a Canuck. |

He's not very good at trading, I can't believe people are suggesting he does something with our top 5 pick. - Scooby_Doo
I'm torn and not suggesting trading it, just repeating what I've heard. The deal makes sense. Barrie would solve a few problems. If Benning and Linden want McCann gone then let's do it. They have their reasons |

If that deal is true its about getting Barrie not wanting JM gone.
Give to get more like it.
Gaining offense on D is a big need. |

I'm not suggesting they are desperate to move him. I am suggesting they don't see him as part of the future core. I'm definitely not part of the Mcann plus ____ for ____ trading group |

Verrrry interesting.
If we got Barrie and hit a home run taking one of those 3 D...could fix our D depth problem pretty quick.
edit. Just noticed he's a RFA. Sign n trade? - dbot
would that be considered fair trade? |

glen G is the only decent coach we have....replace someone else with green.
how about glen G running D and green take over special teams |

I think he will be a number 1 . His numbers in the first two years are ahead of Hank. Small statistic but I see him getting bigger stronger and knowing the game better - VANTEL
Agree basically Bo should be our version of Patrice Bergeron. Maybe not quite as good as Bergeron overall but will be damn close. |

Currently the only coaching issue(s) we have are maybe replacing Lidster and finding someone to replace Melanson. I'm ok with losing Melanson moving forward as I think it's time for a change there to get ready for Demko. Glen G is the only decent coach we have? Not sure I can get there…ANA CAL OTT and MIN all fire coaches. We have health and personnel issues with the players. Let's solve that in the next season or two then we can worry about the rotating coach door. |

So, so good. Had to go out to the wood pile after and contemplate what I watched. Two Js later I realized I was out there for an hour. Wife came out and said "you OK?"
Signing Lucic smells like the whole 'let's emulate the team that beat us scenario. Keenan/Messier all over again.
I'm indifferent about Hamhuis. Stay or go. Doesn't matter to me.
I'm for playing the youth to see what we got and losing at the same time to get another high pick next season. So play Subban.
I don't care who the coaches are as long as they have a reputation of developing players at the NHL level and implementing a solid, straight forward playbook so the youth can grasp NHL fundamentals. |

Id do something sooner than later so the roster can learn better system play.
Yes replacing lidster is our biggest problem I agree....which is why I said shift glen over to his position and give green the special teams assignment.
btw wow johnson sure has the pens going....he seemed useless here but that was under torts too....its looking like hes a decent HC although tends to get players to hate him....both in NY and van. Great job w pens so far |

Ill agree with those things. Yes the playbook is what we currently lack.
ya it was keenan messier noonan tikkanen nemchinov from nyr
green says subban is far from ready defensively.

At this time, it's the best I can do. The wood pile is figurative by the way.
To summarize...
No to Lucic
No to Hamhuis
Yes to Subban (for draft pick placement only)
Want the coaching staff to implement better PK, PP, backchecking, and offensive breakout systems; whether it’s the current group or new one.
Better? |

Game of Thrones. If you like swords, magic, dragon genre it's the best so far. Good episode tonight. |
