The comparison would be towards Hunwick, Polak (start of the season), Phanuef (start of the season) Reilly or Gardiner. The kids don't really count because they got ice time because of injuries and trades. I'm not saying Gorges is a bad player but what would he have done to an offensively challenged team bound for last place....? Nothing!

I think there is a big difference between being a team "bound for last place" and helping a team. Gorges > Polak/Hunwick. Gorges would have helped the team, but the real point is they weren't looking for help last year. If he'd been there a couple years ago, when the trade occurred, perhaps TO is picking 8th and the Swords are last place...never know. Most likely Gorges doesn't turn your team around, but he is a better player than those who were traded away in my opinion...

I never liked GNR even when they were young and skinny and could stand on their own two feet.

I hate the whole idea of this tour by ACDC. I saw them for the first time in 1978. They shouldn't be on the road in 2016. A real rocknroller does die before he gets old, just like Daltry wished.

Gorges and Pysyk should be the 5/6 next year if we are serious about making the playoffs.

He's ok. The problem with him is he isn't even a middle pairing D, let alone top pairing.

So Gorges would haven been the difference between picking first to eighth?? Sorry I don't buy that. Yah he would be slightly better than Hunwick and Gorges but he gets paid 3 times more than they do for essentially doing the same job. Hes just average dman. Dion was traded away so Gorges is better than Dion??? No way!
