Throw'em 2 of our 12 3rds this year. Have him for a year, and if he doesn't work out, no real big loss. He's an RFA after next year. We could even potentially recoup some of that if he signs an offer sheet somewhere else.

I's say the coaching in this game was really exposed, but I agree. Watching him and the entire team just glide around the ice in OT while the Pens completely out worked them every second of the way is very telling of the leadership. The caps should have come out flying in that period, instead they looked like they didn't want to be there.

He's a talented kid, no doubt, but how much of what we're seeing is him being rested, having a chip on his shoulder and/or the "Ville Leino Effect" where a guy scores more in one playoff year than he does over the course of the next two seasons with his next team?

The key is to have one or 2 of these guys on your team....not a team full of them....and Foligno (again if he can play on the PK) is worth keeping around
