Stars had more legit chances in that period than the Flyers could muster in 2 games against the caps

It's too bad this game isn't close - lotsa hockey left and the Flyers definitely came back from a 3-0 deficit in a game 7 before but still - was hoping for a tighter game. Honestly enjoy watching both teams play. Tons of skill on both sides.

This game felt pretty close that period too. Stars played well. Lehtonen just (frank)ed up epically. Maybe the 1st goal was not his fault. The other three (two) were downright awful. Their goaltending is such a drag.

Why stop there then? Review everything.

I think it's just absurd that microscopic offsides reviews, often impossible to detect by the human eye, seem so detached from the goal being scored. In theory, I guess. But this year it has been exploited beyond belief. Every goal that's scored, coaches rush to see if it was perhaps offsides, even 30 seconds earlier. Bleh.

Always hated that penalty. They should just rule by intent like some other calls. Like that swat in the air by Bonino...I'dlike to see that be a no call. I don't see any way they don't change or take out the offsides review, but keeping it in w/ something like an 10 sec rule before the goal sounds better to me.

I wonder if his body is filled out enough to deal with the physicality the NHL beings. Any word on his shoulder? I've heard nothing since before Sarnia went into the playoffs.

My thoughts exactly. I think they will give him one more year "fill in" before having him play against the bigger bodies he'll face every night in the NHL.

I don't think that should be added to what is reviewed. I think it should be adjusted to where the player has to have clear possession of the puck, and situations where a player whacks a puck in the air, and it goes out, not be a penalty.

And the people will defend Neuvirth if he gives up the same goal because he played really well for us for 3 months.

and that is my point. I'm thankful the Flyers have both guys. I am very confident in both guys. It just amazes me how much Mason dislike there is now because of one season of Neuvirth.

kunitz is so old he's basically the old reliable family dog who you should have old yeller'd behind the shed 4 months ago but you just cant bring yourself to do it.
