Edit we are not alking about long term here, we are talking one year cap dumps. IF Taking on bickell can get me a d-man from the hawks for Ennis I do it.

For Ennis, I don't think you can get much better than that.

I think you absolutely can. This isn't a top pairing guy and I wouldn't even buy the argument that he'd be our 2nd best defender by a long shot like i would with Fowler. Brodin was drafted to be a two way defensemen. Now he is struggling at both ends. If you're going to put up 7 pts in 70 ish games you better be outstanding defensively. He's not.

I'm almost inclined to say Grigorenko will have a better NHL career than Girgensons...almost. If Girgensons doesn't figure out how to play a real system next year then its almost a guarantee

Brodin was playing almost 24 mins a game in 12/13, 13/14 and 14/15; which was 2nd on the team for defensemen in all 3 years.

He had some injury issues last year.


IMO could be the perfect #2 for Risto.
