I really liked Howerchuk, but I loved Housley. As a kid watching him skate with the puck just blew my mind. I wasn't around for Orr, but I imagine the guys who got to see him had the same enjoyment I had watching Phil skate. I really hope we have a puck moving defensemen like that again someday. It sounds like Guhle can really skate, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Agreed, but whenever a Lindy team has been successful, it's usually not because of stellar defensive play. It's probably why he won't ever get a cup.

He pretty much pioneered the D-man rush in the NHL.

He's fully capable of winning a Cup ............. he's simply never experienced enough puck luck IMO.

As an example .. tonight if Dallas hits that empty net early in the game .. that would possibly have been enough to tilt this game. Hockey ..... in my mind is REALLY all about burying your chances. You miss a couple of those ............ and EVERYTHING changes.

Dallas has some decent UFAs available. Goligoski may be to much but Demers might be a good under the radar signing. Same with Eaves, solid depth guy who has underrated offesnsive skill.

With a good enough roster anyone is I suppose. Problem is Lindy always needs to get stellar play from his goalies to be successful. His system allows a lot of odd man rushes coming his way.
