Every time I try to build a lineup I can never place, Moulson, Gionta or Ennis.
I just cant fit them anywhere. - ImThatGuy
I think this is an accurate statement of Ennis. Good player, clearly has top 6 talent but trying to build a contending team cant find a place for him that makes sense.

I understand the Vets, but Pysyk? He is not good. 6/7 man at best. No where near top 4. McCabe has surpassed him by a country mile. I don't even believe Pysyk will be on the roster next year honestly. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
ennis was turning into Danny type player and then something happened and he became bad max - GERBE!!!75PTS
Yeah but I still give him the benefit of doubt.
I'd at least like to see if he can come back to form early on next season....then trade him if we want, not going to get squat for him right now anyway

I hate the warrior chart
It never shows strength of competition which is where analytics really has some weight. - Stripes77
It does however provide a weak form of what you're asking, TOI/Gm. It's more or less insinuated instead of fact that if he's playing top 4 minutes, he's playing against 2nd or 3rd line players. On a team with a bad corsi, his possession is reasonably impressive. If he was a bit more productive in the offensive zone, this entire board would (frank)ing love him.

From an eye test of most everyone that watches the Sabres, he is not very good. Def not a top 4 dman on a good team. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
(frank)ing Mike Schopp with the god damn eye test. Just because the kid is extremely subtle and doesn't produce offense means he's not very good? I'm not here saying he's a 1st pairing DMan. But he's extremely serviceable as a middle Dman and even a #5 on a good team.
