You can't honestly believe Ryan would be enough to acquire Giroux.

No, not even close. However, Ryan and Turris would be getting it close.

Turris is gonna want bigger money in a few years. He is one of the best bargains in the NHL right now, when healthy. Id rather pay Giroux 8mil than Ryan 7 and Turris 6.

If the team believes Colin White is gonna be a #2 and MZ can drop to a #3, then I'd look hard at exploring this option sooner than later. Also factor in the emergence of JGP and the team has some options down the middle. Paul still there as well.

I'd be looking to move Lazar and Smith too. Smith especially. Cash out high. He's gonna want a raise and I'd be scared to give it to him. Im interested to see what they do with the 12 pick this year...

Dorion on Hoffman
"we're not building the team around Hoffman; but around 20 guys. "..... "if he wants $10 Million, then we wish him luck"

Now if you take those words out of context, you might think there's turbulent discussions..... but these were half serious comments. It seems like he and J.P. Barry (Ceci's agent) will also have discussions.

The interview also talked about Hoffman being really strong under Boucher in the Q (Dorion highlighting Hoffman also won MVP following year with Giroux)

Dorion On trades
He also mentioned how nice GMs are being - when asked about trades. He said he's had almost 25/26 calls, guys that I've talked to. Says huge trades unlikely but improving roster key. Says he has a good idea what he would like to do with the team.

3 points in the first period tonight for Perron. He's in line to win the QMJHL playoff scoring race. 33 points ( so far ) in 18 games.

At 5-1 it looks like the Huskies will pull out the series win tonight.

Obviously a quiet night for Gagne who has zero points and is a minus 1 so far.

The only 3 players in past 20 years to win both QMJHL regular season and playoff MVP awards are Crosby, Drouin and Perron.

Perron's game looks like Hoffman but without the speed. He certainly knows his way around the net. I will be interested to see the London/Rouyn-Noranda mateh up.

Perron looked pretty good to me. His vision is spectacular. 33 points in 18 games is pretty nice. 10 points up on closest team mate Timo Meier.

No it's a start. Adding Turris is too much really. I think we could do a good trade with them sending IDK Ryan, Turris and Chiasson for Giroux and Simmons
