It still bothers me. The Buffalo Bills decided that a guy who wasn't even the best quarterback on his own college team was the best quarterback in the draft. Granted, nobody turned out to be any good that year, but it still gets to me that it was the Bills that had to make that mistake.

That series in particular was just a mess. They were just trying to match Philly's physical play and got outmatched

I see a need for a top 6 winger and a top 2 defensemen for them to be a legit contender (Cup)

They can be a playoff team without any roster moves but they will be a first round exit

God forbid if Samson or Jack fall back in their development next year. This board will eat them alive! A year ago, Piss-head and Lion Eater were well thought of on the Sabres board. Now they are trash. Yikes! Tough crowd.

Look at a guy like Chara who was dumped early by both the Islanders and Ottawa. I hope we don't make the same mistake with Piss-head and Lion Eater and trade them when their value is relatively low. I say give them both a chance to redeem themselves next year. Put them in the right positions and roles to succeed. If they fail then move them from the roster. Of course, if you can move either/both of them as part of a package to get that #2 LHD or a top 6 winger at the draft, you do it.
