There was that one time he willed us past Nashville. I get the dislike for Kesler but the guy was a beast for us. - golfingsince
The year Vancouver lost in the SCF. Kesler won the selke that year. I don't give a poop what kind of person they are. paid to win cups, if they can do that fine with me. |

It's very important, Ehrhoff was 5th in 10/11, Edler 5th in 11/12. |

Jake Bean had more points and more goals this season then the top three D prospects. I Heard Benning is high on him too. Love to add him to the D ranks. |

Yes a classic case of when a Canuck we luv em & can't stand them when not.
Tiger Williams comes to my mind the most.
So about picking a Jost or Keller or Brown at C....
Stanley or Niemalainen for later 1st....
Eg our 5OA for the Canes 13OA & 21OA. The gist of package only.
Idk if many here like that.
To start off the top 5 standout yes but its not a guarantee that other picks farther down will not stand out in their NHL careers. We all know over the years many stars have not been high 1st round picks or even 1st rounders. That leads me back to my old slant that trading down can be a wise & better move. Keeping the 5OA is fine also. I want JB to improve the team in any & every way he can without restrictions. If he trades down for his reasons then i believe he does fine by that. I like trades & moving parts due to a lil bit of a gamblers nature I have. I see being proactive can be better than stand pat or even less being reactive. Action vs inaction is my choice & what to me is I want in a GM. For so long the only moves we had around these parts was TDL moves during cup runs & we moved many picks that is how we arrived at where we sit now. |

A PP QB is always needed.
We find our own & our scoring woes get a huge boost.
With BPA being F's this draft its 2nd & lower rounds where r hopes will come from. Byproduct of there r no top 2D available by consensus.
Revisiting the rumour days back of a Barrie trade left me intrigued. |

Edler would of been 5th in scoring had he been healthy IMO, is 5th in points per game. Hutton was 7th,
Karlsson and OEL led their team in scoring and missed the playoffs....
In other word correlation is not causation. |

A list in priority order IMO
Top 2D who can be a PP QB
1C to emerge or draft or UFA
Goals from the wing. 2-3 W's needed whether from within or UFA idc
Overall team identity which is hard to define as we sit.
Speed & youth is obviously happening but we lack depth & intangibles still. |

Correlation wasn't that if a D lead your team in scoring that you would win the cup. It was that each of these teams have a scoring D. |

Yes, but each of the teams have everything...scoring, defense, goaltending, depth, good coaching, etc. |
