Wow, if his defensive game is suspect, he's not a factor in overtime, and he hits like a girl (no offence, ladies) then giving up a first and a roster player is way overpayment imo, unless TM knows more about the kid than meets the eye and suspects he's about to break out in a big way. Can't say I've watched him much, and looking at +/- is deceiving (look at Risto...D men on sub-par teams get screwed in that department), but I'd wager our own Nelson might become the player that Barrie is now very soon, and we don't have to give up #8 overall.

DDM Coga seems to like him, though, and a guy that likes sandwiches that much has to know a thing or two.

That looks absolutely horrific and terrifying Really we are trusting McCabe to be our number one defenseman LHD ? The one that just basically finished his first year last year is that correct

And we're going to have Josh George's as our number two defenseman the one that should be The bottom pairing defenseman because he can't handle topline minutes because he struggles

next year I can guarantee there will be a lot of red lights going off and everyone will be minuses to the max

I dunno I think Colorado would want to ship him out east. I think edmonton moves a forward for an nhl d-man then moves back in the draft to get one of juolevi,chychrun or sergachev or even bean/fabbro.

I'm not trying to sound like a hard ass, but shredding your knee without being hit doesn't really hurt all that much. I've done it. 3 times. Certainly not writhing around on the ground not being able to get off the ice without a stretcher. But the way he landed on the left leg like that. Hope it's not broken. Maybe a torn quad? Coming down like that stretches them quite a lot.
