Honestly I didn't even know Game 1 was tonight till I browsed in here & saw your posts. I saw Johnson get hurt, tough. How did Bishop get hurt? - B2B76
Skate got caught in the ice after he was scrambling around, he was down for a while and they took him off on a stretcher, he's as fragile as Price

Gotta give him at least a little credit for trying to stand in with Chara. - smellmyfinger
and Shelley. But what I noticed in watching all those were he immediately in a fight seems to drop his head & that takes away his size advantage & a ducked head is a easy target for the other guy to punch.
btw, I think I saw Brashear lingering in 1 of those clips, I just said the other day I couldn't remember a single time he was even on the ice as a Ranger.

You're right, there aren't many less intimidating 6'6" guys than Boyle.

I can't remember him ever fighting, so I looked him up on hockeyfights.com. Looks like he actually had 3, including one against Rob Niedermayer. - smellmyfinger
I dn't even mean fighting per se, just the fact that he was so soft for a guy that size, he got thrown off the puck so much. Boyle, besides fighting at least uses his size to throw hits, grind, take the puck away.
Here's a clueless Devils fan for ya, he also happens to be the most obsessed with Hank, anything written about Hank you can find a post from Salty
- KreiderBomb
As a Devils fan I agree with you. His numbers this year were based on the traffic cone defense in front of him. Hank is never the problem. He's still elite. With a few moves and a tighter defense they will be just as good as they have been the last few years. Not sure why people are doubting Hank, he's clearly not the issue.

Age. He didn't look good in the playoffs. Not excusing the defense, but Hank was definitely off, and when a guy look s off in his mid 30's everyone assumes age has caught up to him.

No doubt he could have been better but he's faced the most shots this season, given his age and defensive liabilities it wasn't going to matter what he did, he let up the most PP goals in his career this year, 20 more than his average and if you watched the PK no one was saying what's Hank doing, this team will be better and Hank will be better, he's not done by any stretch

I agree Hank is not done, and goalies playing at a high level into their late 30's is becoming more and more common, but every time Hank gives up a goal perceived as soft, people will think it's age.
