Makes no difference. It's 4 years and not 6 or 7, which is the point
- sbroads24

Makes a huge difference actually. If he was gonna sign longer his yearly average would've most likely be going down rather then up like it will next season. He is in no way a $7.5 million player and never was. $5.5 mill max.

Lol your to much....

Did you even watch Kane play this season? The poop that he didn't bring offensively he brought in with good hustle and grit on both the forecheck and defense. Had he played the full season he'd be 3rd in scoring on the team with 44 points.

- Jammerz04

Wow, what a player. 44 points with off-ice issues and someone who can't get along with certain players that could make us better. How do you not love him?

Ladd doesn't have questions after a down year?

I'm not saying he won't get paid, I'm saying it's not forgone that everyone inks 6 and 7 year deals.

- sbroads24

Ladd's only real problem is his age. He's been a solid performer for years now. Quite honestly I wouldn't pay either of them big money.

Read more. The point of bringing up Stastny was that not every sought after FA signs 6 or 7 year deals, some take more money short term.

Batman vs Superman was better than Civil War.
- Jammerz04

You can't honestly say that to me with a straight face ? You think that horsepoop of the movie Bvs is better then civil war you are not a fan or a comic book fan at all then because how could you think that movie is remotely good

Let's start

-They made Lex Luther crazy mother(frank)er. Like he needs to be in a (frank) a padded room oh his little candy treat that was just incredible to watch

- Batman wants to destroy superman because he's killing innocent people but yet Batman is killing a bunch of people that makes sense right?

-Shoving down the Justice league down our throat when It had no place in the movie at the time it made no sense

-Doomsday was that really doomsday? was (frank)ing Lex Luther son do I have to Say more ? (frank)ing doomsday (frank)ing doomsday (frank)ing doomsday

-The reason they stopped fighting each other because (frank)ing Superman says Martha and Batman decides not to kill him and they become best friends are you (frank)ing kidding me?

-Is Superman faster then a speeding bullet yet he gets hit every time

-Superman gets kryptonite gas in his lungs and he doesn't die that makes (frank)ing sense are you joking me

- and really making superman a douche bag that doesn't show any emotion

- and apparently Batman carries around a gun all the time never knew that

-Superman can't see there's a bomb yet he has x-ray vision?

-Superman can't find his mom in an hour because he doesn't have super speeder x-ray vision

I can go on and on so many things wrong

I just can't I will cry ..just (frank)ing embarrassing

And I'm not talking about the deadpool that is probably the best X-Men movie ever

From the last thread about goalie salaries. It's a bit of a straw-man to say high priced goalies don't win Cups. Who other than Antti Niemi wasn't a high priced talent in the past 10 years since the season killing lockout? Teams can get lucky and have a really really good goalie on an entry level or bridge deal, but they're still really good goalies Or they can get even luckier and catch lightning in a bottle like with Leighton or Niemi and at least get to the finals. Cam Ward was a rookie, but was a very good goalie for quite some time with 5 30 win seasons(Hasek had 7 for comparison's sake). Giguere was a Conn Smythe winner for a losing team in the playoffs the year before the lockout. Then Osgood, another great career. MAF, Niemi(who was 4th in the league with a 2.25 GAA during the regular season), Thomas, Quick, Crawford, Quick, Crawford.

I don't see a goalie there other than Niemi, who played lights out that season and then went on to a mostly meh career, that's not high priced, or have the talent of a high priced goalie.

A lot of them.

Quick didn't get paid until he won a cup, neither did Crawford.

Scott Darling won a few playoff games last year for the cup champs.

The movie about the strong flying guy from another planet and the genius wealthy brooding crime fighter with every conceivable invention wasn't any good because it was unrealistic?

and for what it's worth, the Neil hit on Drury was clean, Drury needed to keep his head up

fwiw II, miller should have been suspended for his intent to injure Lucic with the tomahawk chop attempt at Lucic's head

Ok, I said high priced talent, not just high priced. Meaning they're very good goalies regardless of their salary. Good goalies win Cups. So, I'll ask again, what average goalie has won a Cup so far in the salary cap era other than Antti Niemi? Who was lights out during the season he won one.

Answer: none.

The whole film made no sense at all it's like they basically just threw poop together and threw it out to the public just to get the movie out to compete with Marvel

Jonathon Quick is average. And was average when they won there 2nd cup. He also didn't have to be great to beat Jersey for his 1st cup. He had like 3 games in that series where he faced less than 20 shots

He still almost doubled Kane's production.

Saad scored 30 goals on a new team with new teammates.
Oshie played well on his new team
Kessel was great after the coaching change and has been great in the playoffs.

The he needs time to adjust narrative is just an excuse IMO

if staal was on the dot, then yes as he put up 100 points in his second year

honestly I am not sure if staal or stillman was the center on the first line, as staal may have been on the wing

Quick is not average. In 2011-12 he had a .929 SV%, 1.95 GAA, 10 Shut outs and won the Conn Smythe as best player of the playoffs. He has never had a sub .900 SV% unless you count the 3 games he played in 07. You know he only allowed 28 goals in 20 games for that first cup? I would have to argue against the "average" statement there.

He's been pretty average for a while, and his shortcomings are masked by the best defensive team in hockey.

"Quick has put up some great numbers in the playoffs in years passed (not so much this year) but his regular season save percentage over the past three seasons is just .915. That's 18th among goalies who played at least 9,000 minutes over the past three seasons"
