I don't think it is sacrilegious at all. The Beatles, for much of their career wrote bubblegum pop and nearly all types of music today are at least somewhat indebted to their work, including radio-friendly pop music.

It's as if snobby rock revisionists have forgotten that the Beatles were essentially the first boy band.

I ended up watching movies yesterday, but if they have Super Mario RPG, i'll download that. If not, I'll go with Earthbound.

It doesn't matter how you spin it, the Leafs were the worst team in the NHL last year and yet everyone is still praising them, which is super weird when this is the year everyone started getting out of control concerning not wanting to reward last place teams with high picks.

Reilly and Kadri didn't sign amazing discounted contacts. Kadri still hasn't shown he's a legitimate everyday top line guy. Is 45-50 points a year and no defensive ability really worth 4.5 million? Reilly is a good player, but he's not better than most of the other young defencemen who've been signing 4-5 million dollar deals over the last few years. Is he better than Josi? Is he better than Brodie?

Reilly signed for market value and Kadri signed for more than he's worth based on the numbers he's put up so far.

When our youth develop in 2-3 years Kadri will be on a great 3rd line - shutting down the opposition while scoring goals and rocking the PP. $4.5mil is s at least a bargain by $.5mil.

As for Rielly - he could have signed a two year deal. And in two years the idea of RIelly at $5mil will seem absurd!

What the (frank) do coiler fans know about good players anyway? They were gifted McDavid and they suddenly know everything there is to know about rebuilds and what makes a good hockey team? Gimme a break, they're some of the most dense fans in hockey.
