Look at the "neutral fan" votes lol. The butthurt is strong. Legitimately the only neutral fans in this debate are Leafs fans since the Leafs are the only team that has 100% control over who they pick.

The poll I linked to, from a month ago (before the draft lottery), is 129-35 in favour of Matthews.

And people deny there's a huge bias against the Leafs here. It's becoming quite comical really.

Also, keep in mind that Matthews isn't Leafs property yet. We have the first pick, so we should be the least biased voters of everyone.

It's not even really a fair debate though: Matthews is a center. If you had to choose between Kane or Toews, noone in their right mind would choose Kane, despite what the leaderboard says.

Exactly. No one saying laine isn't/won't be good/great but Matthews has been the guy for a while and he hasn't shown anything that would change that.


I as you did believed that the bias existed, but that post pointing out how the polls changed just a week apart(before and after the lotto) is pretty damning.
