Did you check out the Blue Line downtown? By far the best place in KC to catch a blues game. - Yeah Boyes
No we were too busy going around to a bunch of breweries, we were there to go to a Royals game.
My buddy and I are going to all the MLB stadiums and it just happened to be KC this year
If I am ever back I will keep that in mind |

Hope Hitch plays Reaves game 2. Then he can go back to Ott on the road. Ott mostly invisible except the questionable call.
Let Reaves get some big hits on some of the old guys and help wear this team down. Ott really not on PK anyway as of late.
Anyone else notice how selfish about 2 or 3 shark players were at the end of the game. Guys thinking they are going to just stay out there for 2 and a half mins and think they are going to be useful. Good reason why they didn't get more/ better chances at the end. |

The STL line needs to hold the puck a bit more. They gain the blue line, force a shot and leave the ice for the next line to defend. I think I counted 1 time where they got the puck back after the initial shot last night. It's not so bad because Tarasenko can make those half-chances through traffic work once in a while but I think that line has enough skill to find better chances than they are taking. I think this is why Hitch was messing with the line at the end of the Dallas series. |

I was female dogging about this at the game loudly....Seemed like it was Lehtera a lot with a clean win and then getting tossed. Wishing Korac or JR or someone would have asked about it but I doubt they will. - Jason Millen
JR is a basketball writer and has still not learned enough about hockey to look into the finer elements. De Jesus Ortiz probably would ask that question before JR would. Just seems like a lazy guy. Doible publishing his work with updates. |

They still almost scored twice at the end, with two posts one of which was towards the inside of the iron and almost banked in off of Ellliott.

I thought they played well. But so did the bad guys.
Blues had a number of chances early they couldn't cash in on. San Jose carried the play in the second by a wide margin but the Blues had the only goal.
Third period was solid Blues hockey. Good way to start the series, winning on home ice.
San Jose has to feel if they play the same way they played last night that they'll be alright as well. - bcallaway
Thier first was ok but not impressive. Their second was terrible. Their third was how they should play minus the last two and a half minutes where there were just some stupid decisions. Like Petro's icing. Forget making a long pass take a damn shot. Two and a half minutes you pull your goalie you got to take a risk to get the goal.
You would think the Blues would play a similar style in these situations as they do on their penalty kill. They seemed to do that for a bit last night and it was much better than when they hang back.
Backes at the end of the game said it was nice to pull out a win in a game that they did not play well.

glad the blues won. I hope of the teams remaining that the blues exorcise their demons and win the cup.
Don't want to see anyone other than the Blues hoisting lord stanley's mug this season. |

I would prefer either of the teams who've never won it. But when it comes down to it, AbtP. |

wait a second didn't you root for Chicago first and then Dallas?
Otherwise I like the sentiment. I rooted for the Canucks over Boston only to see Vancouver hosed by the whistles being swallowed allowing a slower less talented team at the time to win. |
