Bills first-round DE/OLB Shaq Lawson will undergo right shoulder surgery on Tuesday, and is without a timetable for a return.
Lawson's shoulder was flagged during the Combine, and he had "an occurrence of the condition last week." Lawson had previously claimed surgery wouldn't be necessary. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported shortly after the draft that Lawson would eventually need an operation that would sideline him 4-6 months. That's the best guess now, and it leaves Lawson doubtful for Week 1. The reserve/PUP list is a possibility. Whenever he finally returns, Lawson will have to be babied through his rookie campaign, and could end up limited to situational pass-rushing duties.

Elbows, Knees, Shoulders and gas masks. Lots of mines in that first two rounds. Shaq hopefully can come back to form after the surgery.

I understand where you're coming from but you really need to get the left-handed defenseman before you get the right-handed defenseman

The Pens have Dumolin, Mattaa, and Daley as their LHD. Mattaa has been a tire fire this year. Gorges would be on their first pair

A never ending disaster. They were so adamant in covering this up. Why?? Just admit you drafted an injured guy, and that's why he fell to you.

So let me get this straight A person being drafted in the seventh round means that they're not going to be an all-star player or even close to that or a person drafted in the fourth round or person in the fifth round ?

I guess PK is scrub?

- GERBE!!!75PTS

When you have a guy that's in his prime, and has been producing in the league for at least a few years, no of course it doesn't matter. But when they have little to no NHL experience it absolutely does matter. There're reasons they were drafted where they were.

Yeah Shefter said it literally right after the Bills picked him that he would need surgery. Probably after this season. Well he was half right. Someone dropped the ball on this one. No pun intended. Whether it was Whaley, or the doc was overconfident that he would be able to play through it for a year, or if Pegula really liked the guy. Someone (frank)ed up big time. Look at Evander Kane, he had major shoulder surgery and it took him almost a full year before he looked anywhere near comfortable. He had surgery last February and didn't look comfortable here until after the All-Star break.

But by all means pass a currently healthy guy (Jack) who was rated as a top 3-5 pick who plays a position with arguably higher need for a guy who has a known problem. I'm still salty about the Bills passing him up.

There's a country in SE Asia the banned deep V-neck t-shirts and the Teletubbies because they're gay. I want to say it was Singapore or the Philippines, but I'm not sure. It could've been Thailand.
