Wow Erik Kaelsson, you're talking a ton to give up there.

I was basically saying he's not as dynamic as him but he's a little close

(frank)ing refs. The Sharks should've had that goal where Elliot totally misplayed the puck where it went right under his glove and off his stick.and eventually in. Not only was the puck not covered I don't think it really even stopped moving.
- Wetbandit1

don't worry about it the sharks will be fine God help them out next game

It's just like 89 said he's a right-hand that's the problem one thing

Two things on my list are
Finding a left-handed defenseman for the top pairing
And finding a top winger( hope is stamkos) lol

But if were trading a poop load for a right-handed defenseman we're not gonna be able to get a left-handed defenseman for Top pairing and then you're putting all your eggs in the baskets and I don't like that approach what happens if it blows up in your face and you're just stuck with the right-handed defenseman and nothing for the top pair

- GERBE!!!75PTS

I'm sure we can have some RHD play the left side, look at how many LHD play the right side.

I agree with you, we need a LHD more then another RHD.

If we can add someone of Faulk's caliber, handedness is irrelevant.

Philly - Gudas
Pitts - Schultz
Islanders - Pulock (Hamonic is off the table)
Canes - Faulk
Devils - Larsson/Severson
Rangers - McIlrath
BJs - Savard

Other than that, I am out

- DDM-Coga

Only one worth anything. And I would probably give up 8 for him. But absolutely no more.

If Gudas would just get his head out of his ass he could be a solid 4/5. Schultz seems to be a lost cause. Savard plays for Columbus, so who knows? But I'd steer clear of him. Larsson could be interesting, Severson, meh. McIlrath , no. Pulock, honestly don't know too much about him.

I understand where you're coming from but you really need to get the left-handed defenseman before you get the right-handed defenseman

I like the left/right balance too, but I don't think it's as much of necessity as it's made out to be. A couple years ago Detroit had 6 left handed dmen in the lineup most nights.

In my opinion of course I would rather trade the assets to get the LHD then a RHD then forcing people to play position that they're not comfortable with and then if it doesn't work out we're basically screwed

Handedness is irrelevant. But whether or not they can play the position isn't.

If you're watching SJS wait til they show DeBoer and pay attention to the first row behind him.
- Der Kaiser

HOLY HELL! That was the first thing I saw. She was bending over right a the start of the game futzing with her beer or whatever. Jesus. The camera lingered a lot longer than normal. Not that I blame the guy; she was quite distracting. I did notice they show DeBoer a lot more than Hitch. Hmm....

Bogo played the left last year for some time and seemed to handle it, Risto did briefly in the pre-season, and if Faulk is as good of a player as I believe he is, he should be able to play either side.

Some players can play like that I'm not gonna lie but it's very hard to handle the puck on the power play or a rush with your blade and be able to shoot it and be able to shoot it right away without switching . I think the important part is to find Riso a partner so we can have that number one pair defenseman's together fighting the top lines

Yes they can be a great player but you have to be absolutely hundred percent certain that this player can play on The top pair or will be Richarding around trying to find another partner and then will do circles

Yeah, it's not like he's on the 3rd pairing. You're asking him to play 25 minutes a night against as much of the other teams top players as they can get.

My point is, for Faulk, you make it work. I haven't seen any LHD's of his caliber that may be available.

I understand that but you have to find Riso a partner first if hes going to be the top line pair with him then fine but you have to make sure he'll switch over and it will work if not we're screwed if you traded all the assets for a player that we didn't need and then you still have a hole that was your biggest need

I'm fairly confident that it would work out fine, and I'm sure Murray would have to be to make the deal as well. Really the only case I can think of not being able to switch sides is Franson, and he's a special case because of his anchor feet.

You just don't see righties playing the left side often because they are less common compared to left hand shots.
