I can wait one more year...they're gonna get a real good prospect at No. 8, imo...win now mode is good, but i'm in no hurry to reach for a powerplay quarterback at this time

I understand this thread skews to a different opinion, but in my view the 8th pick overall - or any pick outside the first 2 or 3 - would never be worth an established young high-qulaity NHLer, this year, or any year.

Presuming the ++ is just an afterthought, and something less than the 8, I do this deal in a heartbeat.
