Did I mention the record the last decade is even more lopsided in Buffalo's favor? Your team can't beat a bunch of losers which makes you an even bigger loser. - jkuczkowski
Lol, you live in Buffalo. You're a fan of an irrelevant team that thinks they have some big rivalry with the Leafs. Enough said. |

Me: Toronto has nothing but hookers and hockey players.
Leafs fan: my mother lives there!
Me: What position does she play?

There is no rivalry between Toronto and Buffalo. Being 115-73-18 all time against the Leafs is just simple domination. Toronto fans are always quick to spew their "better then us" vitriol, but in the end the record speaks for itself. - jkuczkowski
That record is irrelevant. What matters is that in the leafs 100 years (54 more then the sabres) we have more cups, hall of famers, fans, money, & media coverage. When the sabres turn 100 then we can compare records. |

(frank)ing hate Ryan Miller. He owned our poop! Even when the Leafs were a contendor. As they were for the better part of a decade between the early 90' and early 2000's - buffalo and especially Miller were bumholes about it and never let us win. |

115 wins vs 73 losses is domination.....ok. That's definitely in Buffalo's favor by a fair margin.....I don't know, I'd normally consider domination to be double or something. Plus let's face it historical records don't mean that much for rivalries, it's all about recent history for those.
But, wow that seems rather defensive for some reason.
I agree there is currently no rivalry though. Both teams suck and have hardly been relevant for a long time. So yeah, of course there isn't much rivalry to be had there. The Leafs haven't been playoff competitive since before the salary cap and Buffalo hasn't made much noise in the playoffs since...what the mid 2000s? Not much rivalry to be made with these teams.
That should change to be sure. Buffalo is on the up-swing and Toronto will make its improvements as well. In reality both should be competitive playoff teams at around the same period of time. Then we can worry about building rivalries. |

1. "They're"
2. "Better THAN us."
You're welcome.
As a Leafs fan I'm going to be a lot more pumped up for Sabres game next year as Eichel v Matthews has classic rivalry potential written all over it. It's going to be great for the fans of both teams and will certainly inject a lot more drama and be a helluva lot more compelling to watch than it has been in years past.
Looking forward to next season! (can't remember the last time I said that...) |

It's only fitting because;
Reinhart is the poor mans Nylander
Bylsma is the poor man Babcock
Kane is the poor mans Kadri
Risto is the poor mans Rielly - Arctic_AARDVARK
I'm not sure if you're being tongue-in-cheek or sincere....
Most of what you've written here is bang on. Reinhart vs Nylander is still up in the air
