In 1995 I took a train from Albany to NYC. Me and the Ukrainian traded rounds in the club car with Mrs. Shirley Partridge and her D-bag husband. All four of us were loaded by the time we got to Grand Central.

I'm pretty sure everyone's going to be (frank)ed in the world
if the whole world ever loses power everyone uses some type of tech everyday
Everyone's just going to be a bunch of monkeys trying to figure out poop
The time to get drouin was before the deadline. The sabres could have too.
Non playoff team, with decent odds at the time in the lotto. Tons of cheap ELC deals. Pysyk and 2016 1st might have done it.
Now they are slotted in at 8. Drouins value is high again, it ain't going to happen. - Mentalorgasm5
But Drouin's trade value was never actually low because TB was never going to trade him for anything less than whatever they would be willing to accept for him after this season ends. Yzerman was always going to play that game of chicken because he couldn't possibly lose it.
Was Drouin worth that much before the deadline to another team? No, because he was a giant question mark beefing with management.
Is he worth that much now? Maybe. The question mark is certainly a lot smaller, if it still exists at all. At least we know now that he has the ability to perform up to expectations and in the playoffs.

You really can't start going down that road. Teams had 209 chances to draft Zetterberg before he was drafted at 210. Even Radim Vrbata at 212 is about 207 spots from where he should've gone in that draft. The only guys ahead of him are the Sedins/Zetterberg, Ryan Miller and Martin Havlat.
