I will be at the draft so here is my wishful thinking that GMTM trades up to #2 for Laine. Can anyone imagine him on Eichel's wing with Reinhart? Sweet Lord...
Then again that offer would have to be 8th overall, 2017 1st just to have a conversation tho... - Beezer33
For Laine?
Would cost 8th overall, 2nd round pick, 2017 1st, Sam Reinhart. |

Still not even close, IMO.
Buffalo gets the two best players in the deal by a long shot.
The original deal was Perry and Fowler.
What sense does it make to acquire Fowler with Bogosian? - ImThatGuy
Fowler is LHD Bogosian is RHD They get Bogosian who could be a 4th/5th guy there and play PP doesn't have to be the man there and they can use him in offensive situations. Fowler bigger need for us then what Bogosian brings Perry for 8th overall as well would be fair considering what else we are giving up and what an 8th overall pick is worth... |

But to acquire Fowler you create another hole on defense.
Bogo and McCabe played great down the stretch, keep that together to start.

The Duck dont do either of those trades, they ask for more.
Perry is an MVP type player, Folwer is a top 4 d-man.
It's going to take a lot to get both in one deal. Sam Reinhart a lot.
Also P.S. Ott is not going to STL. - ImThatGuy
Reinhart is not going anywhere is any deal...You would hvae to think the new coach coming in wants to work w Perry not ship him out....still think the Sabres are focused on a Stamkos pitch first cause that can make the draft go many different directions...if they sign him or other FA forwards then they focus on obtaining a dman.. and if not then work on jumping up to get a high profile forward in the draft...
I wonder if GMTM entertains the idea of having Ott back from STL tho...he did say he wants those guys on his team when he left which was nice but also not needed..Ott would fit in where Legwand leaves or maybe on his wing on the 4th line..
Fowler is a top 4 dman but still signed for a bit...I am not sure they move him..Vatanen makes more sense being a RFA and yes he is a right handed d man but I still am under the belief that Guele makes the jump in 2-3 years and will match up with Risto...just need to find a short term solution even if his stick hand may be the wrong way Disco Dan said that doesnt matter to him as much when game planning |

Because you dont move the pick for nothing short of of an over payment.
You ask for Sam and the 8. If Buffalo says no, you draft Laine. |

No thank you on Ott... Unless he comes in under 2 million and realizes he'll play only half the games.... We've got a younger Ott in Deslauries and cheaper too. Enough 4th line agitators. We need speed and skill.
As for Vatanen if we get him I'm trading Bogosian if he accepts the deal no quesiton...
On the right side you'd have Ristolainen Vatanen Bogosian Pysyk Franson Nelson... That's far too deep and Bogosian with that term and dollar amount shouldn't be your bottom pairing guy. Risto doesn't seem like he'd move tot he left have to assume the same with Vatanen so it just doesn't make sense unless they can get rid of Bogosian which they probably need an upgrade over anyway... |

2016 1st and 3rd (we have a bunch), 2017 1st, Girgensons
Z seems like the trading chip of choice i feel...he could be a top 6 or bottom 6 guy but he is great defensively just needs to round out his game again...
Larsson around for another year, Gio and Moulson are not tradeable right now, Foligno is coming along well and you cant trade on the D end because we are already so weak |
