Yeah...pretty sad to see the school closing. As the article says (not expecting many to read it), the location of the school is very central to Kenmore as a whole. To lose something that big and community-shaping sucks. The benefit of the library across the street, again so centrally located, was such an added benefit. - stashu
I liked it when I was there, I walked to school so it wan't bad. Why is it closing ? I was there 6th, 7th and 8th grade

Which is the better scorer? - adambuffalo
You need to compare Kessels season this year to Vaneks first few years like you mentioned.
By the way coming into last season the only two RWers that scored more than him in the previous 4 season were Ovechkin and Pat Kane. When was Vanek ever mentioned in the same breath or had stats to back it up as the best of the best?
Vanek scored his best on a deep team.
Kessel scored his best and was a point per game player on the damn Maple Leafs.

Kessel also has played all 246 regular season games in that time while Vanek only missed 14 games.
This is coming from a big Vanek fan - stashu
Not saying Vanek is better now. Just saying they are basically the same player over their careers. Vanek is also 4 years older. Both have great offensive talent, but are defensive liabilities. They play on 1/3 of the ice. Neither seem committed to improving their overall game, yet even with their deficiencies, Vanek still won the NHL +/- award in 06-07.
