#8 and Bogo for #4 and g. Reinhart - draft Dubois
2016 2nd rd pick 2017 1st rd pick and Pysyk for Shattenkirk
Sign Soupy, 2 years 9m
Sign Vesey
Resign Chad Johnson 2 years 4.5m
Leaves you plenty of cal to sign/trade for another forward - okposo, Nash, etc

All makes sense, but if you move up to 4 you take Tkachuk IMO and I doubt Edmonton takes that trade personally. I like the idea of chasing Shattenkirk and Soupy.

I can't see the oilers at all interested in taking on bogos contract.


Since he's probably relative to what reinhart tops out at, if you ate a substantial chunk of it, maybe they'd be interested in the immediate upgrade I suppose


Or depending on how convinced they were they could get their guy at #8, maybe pysyk and the 8 for the 4th and middle/low pick


The oilers will probably be all in on shattenkirk as well, even if it is a longshot he's interested in resigning long term with Edmonton

I'm not opposed to staying put, I am though rather enamored with Tkachuck's playoff performance ... Last time I looked it was 18 games; 20g 20a .... Very, very nice. Shows up big when it counts! Gamer!
