Well that sucked

If anyone is watching the Cardinals game tomorrow night, my nephew is throwing out the first pitch. Not sure why. I'll be there to support him. Haven't been to a baseball game in at least 3 years.

Didn't they call it interference?
- MnGump

The nbc guys were saying elbow but either way it was kind of a weak call. That play had been going on all game long

Hard to believe they could get shutout so few times in the regular.season and now ..3 times in the post season.

Maybe not a blues fan by nature as you know, but this is depressing man!

Not a lot of good scoring chances for controlling the puck. Part of that is a lack of shot selection.

I feel much better though once I switched to the KMOX radio feed and muted the Sharks broadcasting team. nThat was annoying. Early on they had some good looks but did not shoot when they should have or had their shots blocked. But every replay was Sharks made offense. Look at this play.

Blues better find a way to fight through the stick play and interference.

Jaskin earned more ice time in my book. I would move him up to a line and move any player that is passing up shots for passes cough Fabbri. That kid has an amazing shot and he gets in the danger areas and tries to thread the needle or go backwards on a rush.

Solid defensive game by the Sharks. Hell might as well clutch and grab if they ain't going to call it. Back to this boring style of hockey yippe yay.

Agreed. You see that stuff 10 times a game at a minimum and to call it at that point anyway was pointless. Blues looked flat tonight to me, but then again I was only watching a few minutes in between getting caught up on Better call Saul...

When exactly did we hire Hitchcock?

When your coach says after game 1 we haven't played a team like that, kind of tells you he has no plan what so ever

Nah. This Sharks team has coughed up a 3-0 lead and last round against Nashville started out dominant as well.

Bad bounces won't last forever. Once the damn breaks. Was that year that Johnson had like three shutouts in a row against the Sharks and they still lost that series back when Marleau was young, fast and good? Jeff Freisen and might have been before Cheechoo was there.

Win game 4 and we are back in this series. If we walk away with a split then we accomplished our mission. Bring it back home and win game 5 on Monday.

Series is NOT over even though we look BAD.

There is still time and this team has shown time and time again to be resilient.

I would not say flat. They just looked clueless as to making plays that lead to goals except for like three plays.

Terrible passing, bad shot choices. Rookie mistakes that led directly to goals. Other than that its a 1-0 game from hertz's 2nd goal. Not flat, just confused a little. Sluggish.

Hey they made it this far this year. A lot of the young new core has learned more than the old core did at this stage.

I do have one question for you guys... Did you agree with yanking Elliott so late n the 3rd after giving up goal 3 and not really playing bad?

I will be the minority here and say yes.

It was instead of a timeout, and to send a message. But I thought he was terrible this game and only decent last game. He has played some good hockey but there have only been a few games where I would agree he was the team's best player.

He was hot and his team was behind him otherwise as soon as Allen was healthy I would have went back to him. But such things can be tricky in the play offs. And Elliott had a long stretch of playing great at the end of the season, plus Allen was still dinged up so you have to say he earned it. But objectively Allen is a superior goaltender.

Bortuzzo had a really good game. Parayko again got lost on positioning or a back checker has to take Hertl there but a slapper beating you there

Going to need some more out of Shattenkirk. Perhaps he has been distracted by his recent writing efforts. Need him to play better so it does not cost him and our first to get Edmonton's fourth.

I love hoppy beers.

Look that beer up I mentioned. It is from Cooperstown, NY. Three Philosphers is great, their double vos and I like their hoppy beer. There is a beer named 80 acre by a joint out of KC and that is a solid hopps beer.
