People sitting behind you are the worst, all season long it was a new pack of twits from wherever, normally ny or chicago talking all game long about their trips to wherever or how this game was so different or sometimes how much baseball rules and what is off sides.. i wanted to stab them. i guess its a good thing they now have metal detectors at the gates - BluesDroogie
It's like when all the fans are yelling shoot the entire power play. Just want to take a time out and explain to them the concept of how to score on a power play by setting up at least one good scoring chance every thirty seconds. Of course sometimes it is correct to just fire away, especially when your unit is over thingking it. Shoot I digressing again. |

Edmundson looks afraid. He needs confidence. That bad pass that directly led to a goal has him over thinking his game and worried. He looked fine early in the season playing with Petro for a few games. Not saying we should do that now. Hell no. But he needs to trust his instincts and not over think it. - BluesDroogie
I would bet a lot of money someone showed him where NBC took him to task on national TV.
But yeah. Actually he and Petro looked like a great pairing. I think JayBo looked better with Shattenkirk as well. Never understood why the sudden switch once play offs started. I mean understand the thinking behind the move just did not agree one-hundred percent. |

It wasn't when the playoffs started. Either Jbow was injured or something. That has always been our top pair, you know that. Cant remember why he was playing with Petro but he played fine. |

I will yell shoot all the damn time. But the games i yell that, its a minute into the pp and they are still passing between Shatty Steen and Tarasenko and not working it down low at all. I get mad a minute in and we have possession and no shots. |

You do not need metal to stab somebody or hurt them really good. That is why when I go to the VA I always carry a sharpie with me. A sharpie to the solar plex will feel none too good and if it is a real bad situation into the neck will be great. Do not need to puncture to kill. I know many more tricks but I do not advise using violence unless under extreme duress for your life or someone else's. Oh yeah and a sharpie to the eye.... Keep the cap on use the cap side as the principle point of contact. Otherwise cap can slip in your hand. Ribs, solar plex, neck, by the ears and eyes are best. There are tactical pens made for this but they do have an appearance being a weapon which makes it hard with some places with metal detectors. |

I think it is hard from him in the dzone on the break out when he is pressured on his backhand. Some people have issues with it. But I am like you I do not get it. I always olayed my off side on the wing and did it in beer leagues on defense(not comparable obviously), but still the motions are similar. - BluemanGuruu
Truthfully it shouldn't matter at all in the dzone, they're always switching sides to stay in coverage

I know it. But you can see how if you flush Shatty out from behind the net and send a guy towards him from the center passing lane he has troubles and turns it over. Every series I have seen him attacked that way when he is on his off side. Once he gets on his backhand he seems to lose a lot of peripheral vision or something. But his head gets turned down a bit which might indicate he is not comfortable on his backhand while skating or feels like he is in a vulnerable position for a hit. |

Whats our 4th line now? With no offense how can you make Tarasenko a difference maker? Backes Berglund and Tarasenko? Backes, Steen and him?
Stastny on the 2nd pp needs to be behind the net i think setting up the plays not Fabbri. Fabbri will shoot more than Stastny. Stastny is better on the puck though

I do have one question for you guys... Did you agree with yanking Elliott so late n the 3rd after giving up goal 3 and not really playing bad? - MnGump
I would have pulled him after the 2nd goal.
He doesn't look right. Wasn't his fault, but he looked to be fighting the puck. A lot of times he had no clue where the pick went.
He is tired. Not used to playing every game. Allen is just as good, and in my opinion, better. I hope they play Allen in game 4. Not because Elliott is bad, he just needs a break and this team needs a wake up call that they are letting him down. And 4th line changes aren't going to do it this series. |

If thats true, i have a horrible memory. I thought during the season Jbow was injured and Eddy was up with Petro. Okay its starting to come back, Hitch was checking out different line combos. yeah thats right |

Be better. Fabbri is forcing passes in places where his shots cause havoc if not go in.
Might not be bad to start Tarasenko off on the fourth line. I think he needs a fire lit under him. Or he is more hurt than necessary. He made too good plays but is a split second too slow or off with his shots.
I think Jones must look large in the net. But I see lots of holes in his positioning. Between the shoulder and where the elbow bends on the glove side and on the blocker above the shoulder by the head. Also to the sides especially far side Brouwer has beaten him there three times but hit iron and the Lehtera goal was that arm area on the trapper side. San Jose defends his weakness though and that appears to be lateral. I think you can get him to cheat but he is smart in that he positions himself more off how his defense looks. That means to some extent Blues are taking too much time to decide.
Would love to see the tape on him for goals against and his tendencies for big saves. |

Yeah he was complaining to Shattenkirk about a screen. I guess they were moving across his field of vision but I do not know how he did not pick up the puck at least late. |

Guess I'm al little stitous, with Jaskin being in the lineup i wore my Jaskin shirt. Regular season that meant a win. Wore it without him in the lineup it was a loss. Did not work tonight. |

is it a ticket cost issue? Apathy due to playoff performance?
I'd have thought 17k in SJ wouldn't be that hard of a sell.
11 of 12 playoff seasons; 4 conference finals in that span, etc - Jason Millen
Well a big part of it was apathy for the team seeing it not make the playoffs and then get bounced after an epic collapse. Another issue I think is the 49'ers moving to Santa Clara, may season ticket holders I think spent their expendable funds on going to NFL instead of NHL games. |

I am sick of these anti Blues* announcers. Keith jones already announcing the Blues are in trouble. They have counted us out since we before we beat the Hawks. It wasn't about what the Blues did well, its always been how did the other team screw this up. We were 3rd overall in the League, but that doesn't matter i guess. - BluesDroogie
I don't like the announcers either most all of the games they do for the Sharks they seem so Anti Sharks. I didn't get to watch tonights game on TV just listened to the radio. |

Win game 4 and we are back in this series. If we walk away with a split then we accomplished our mission. Bring it back home and win game 5 on Monday.
Series is NOT over even though we look BAD.
There is still time and this team has shown time and time again to be resilient. - BluesDroogie
They keep up this play and they are coming home with their Richard in their hands. |
