Say if Buffalo was going to acquire Nash.
Year 1 - NYR holds 1.8MM
Year 2 - NYR holds 1.2MM
or
Year 1 - NYR holds nothing
Year 2 - NYR holds $2MM - ImThatGuy
No it has to be the same number for the remaining years. Leafs hold 1.2 from Kessel for the next like 6 years |

The Worlds tourny doesn't matter but the "World Cup" will
A player that has never touched NHL Ice will be as good as Patty Kane
Some questions regarding holding salary during trades
Lots of drinking
And the New X-men movie is good not great. |

Some questions regarding holding salary during trades
Lots of drinking (this is the norm)
And the New X-men movie is good not great. (nerds everywhere unite!)

Reading another blog, Eichel was brought up, so I thought I'd look him up and compare him to some others that were mentioned when he was drafted. Sure, this is some cherry picking - it's not like there aren't "non-superstar" players that did better, but I know one common comparison thrown around has been Tavares, so I thought I'd look for big names like him and some others and compare their rookie seasons.
Below is some data from rookie seasons of Eichel and other top notch players. Since I like the "game" aspect once in a while, I'll ask people to guess who each of the players are. I ask that you don't look them up, but try to assign names to them. I'll give a list of names, see if you can match the players. FYI, not all are Centers
A. 19 years old, 81 GP, 24 goals, 31 assists, 13 even strength goals, 2 game winnings goals
B. 20 years old, 82 GP, 22 goals, 19 assists, 20 even strength goals, 3 game winnings goals
C. 18 years old, 79 GP, 23 goals, 23 assists, 14 even strength goals, 1 game winnings goal
D. 19 years old, 81 GP, 24 goals, 32 assists, 16 even strength goals, 5 game winnings goals
E. 21 years old, 80 GP, 24 goals, 40 assists, 16 even strength goals, 4 game winnings goals
F. 19 years old, 82 GP, 24 goals, 30 assists, 13 even strength goals, 2 game winnings goals

Now that is cool. I saw another one comparing "dynamic duos" for goals scored by a pair. Malkin and Crosby, Toews and Kane, etc...looking at the individual numbers though this really puts it into prospective doesn't it...very cool. |

Very correct.
The other 2 are wingers (at least according to where I looked them up, who knows if they play center at times). |

I bet one is Jamie Benn, and because I remember him coming into the National League kinds late, I'll say he's E. |

Wonder if it involved Barrie by any chance. TB needs a RHD. Not sure they could afford his new deal but maybe salary would have come back. - sbroads24
No it did not, Nick Holden was the only NHL player in the deal. It was Holden, prospect Kyle Wood, 2016 1st round pick and a conditional 2d round pick according to his sources.
I trust the guy, he has some real inside connections with the team, he was the one who broke the story about how Kevin Hayes was set on signing with the Avs but Rangers came in and offered him a spot on the 3rd line guaranteed. Avs weren't prepared to do that |

colorado is my sleeper team for stamkos - homiedclown
If they do some of the rumoured moves that have been posted. Duchene for Faulk, Barrie for Yakupov and the 4th overall.
If they blow it up and sign stammer, it would be a major crazy overhaul (highly unlikely but for fun why not) |
