That is a really good idea. Fits both teams. Columbus might be interesting. Trading for the second pick in that draft, Ryan Murry. I think Ryan has not been developed well either. Not straight across but he is in a similar boat. - Hall Fan
i doubt you get murray out of columbus.
maybe something like andrew shaw and a 3rd makes more sense for chicago. salary cap is concern for them. |

Murray is a 1st pairing dman now and worth way more than Yakupov |

There is absolutely zero possibility cbj considers dealing Murray for yaks. And s marginal add in doesn't change their mind either. This idea that adding a 2nd or some middling prospect is gonna entice some gm to lose a trade is silly. That's not even considering that cbj is fairly strong on the wing already. And they're about to add pulujarvi as well
Yaks does have the talent to be a quality top 6 snipe. And he absolutely should not be considered a bust yet.
But he's proven that his hockey iq is incredibly low and works far too hard with little no results far too often. And Blaming his struggles on multiple coaches or gms is nothing more than excuses |

Yak is a good player. Edm just screwed him over. I think it is quite obvious that he will do good on a team willing to develop him like he should have been. He has obvious raw talent and I like his odds of becoming a top line winger. Unless he goes for picks I imagine it will be a package deal if Montreal gets him. I don't see much that fits the Oilers needs other than players that are far more valuable than Nail. I don't see it happening. Hopefully the Oilers can keep him and actually give him some quality ice time in an offensive role. That's where his talent lies. - Hall Fan
Good grief....you continually embarrass the entire Oilers fan base with your opinions and warped perceptions of reality. |

I was talking about prospects not nhl players. Need a band aid or a Mentos?
Making fun of the Leafs won't mask your clueless coach. Delusional GM. Or the empty cupboards. - systemtool
Habs prospects are actually fairly decent.
Lehkonen, Reway are never mentioned cuz they play in europe but both signed this year and both have been progressing very nicely. Lehkonen especially - just broke Daniel Alfredsons playoff scoring record at age 21 (alf was 32 when he set it in the lockout year).
Hudon, McCaron, Scherbak are all pretty good prospects...not world beaters but all have value.
After that its a pretty big fall off...almost nothing of value in D prospects other than Juulsen.
So MTL is prob a middle of the road org as far as prospects go which is what you'd expect from a team that is generally a playoff team. |

I only said that Yakupov would be part of a package for Subban. if i was the Canadiens GM and i got offered Yakupov for Subban, i wouldn't do it. it would take more than Yakupov to get subban, but yakupov could be part of a package for Subban. maybe. - thejonathans

Nobody knows how a prospect will turn out, Mitch Marner could never pan out in the NHL. Leaf fans think success in Juniors, AHL = success in the NHL. Its all a crap shoot, but the Habs have plenty of players that are having success at both those levels, their cupboards are fine, plus they have 3 picks in the first 2 rounds this year to add to that.
Also, Pittsburgh won the Phil the Thrill deal, bonafide sniper for a 3rd-4th liner and a fringe AHL defenseman |
