He'd require some serious convincing...not impossible but i wouldn't bet on it happening. - Sabresfan-365
Perfect offseason - trade 2 3rds for Nash, #8 overall for Shattenkirk, swap Pysyk for g. Reinhart (Oilers are LHD heavy, we are RHD heavy), resign Johnson, sign Vesey, draft best available player with our 2nd rounder and two remaining 3rd rounders. |

I'd like to add a couple more players with recent Stanley Cup success. I think Gionta is the only player that has won one and that was a long time ago. |

As an Oilers fan I would trade Griff for Pissyk...for the reason you mentioned....but then I would also outbid you for Shatty with the 4th overall. |

Sounds like a lovely plan to get in eighth Place
Reinhart is trash |

While' I'd like Nash if other younger options were all ready expelled I do know he has a NTC. What kind of NTC that is I'm not sure. I also don't know if say it's one where he can list 8-10 teams he WANTS to go to we probably won't be on there. I don't know how the rules work if they can go up to him and say "Hey Rick, we know Buffalo isn't on your list of teams but they've got a great offer for you and if you want, we can put you in touch with Terry to see if it would be a fit." I don't know if that is allowed? |

Yeah, it's like that 5th or 6th overall pick might end up being Bobby Orr, so why risk it for a guaranteed Larry Murphy??? - Jeropotato
4th overall this year can be worth a lot. TSN guy said he thinks Shattenkirk for 8 would be a very plausible trade so if we can get a caliber player of his stature for 8 I'd imagine you could get a better player for 4. |

He looked good in his 2nd call up later on in the season. He's no great guns, but then neither is Pysyk |

Like I said...it could have value, and I'm sure it does, just not to me. I'll take an actual proven NHL player instead. |

Yeesh. You guys get Shattenkirk and st louis gets tkachuk to replace backes (maybe). That actually looks like a solid move for you. You can keep reinhart though. |

Yeah, but he's not stupid and is pretty sound defensively. He looks like a solid bottom pair D with PK time. Not useless....and certainly not worth the ridiculous price we paid. |

This is a classic case of Sabres fans underwhelming their own players. Pysyk at his current state is a lot further along as a player than Reinhart who can't even consistently crack one of the worst defensive teams in the leagues line up. Both are young and skilled but need room to grow. I'd take my chances on Pysyk any day over a guy whose all ready been traded once before he turns 25. |

I agree...but I would hate to trade an asset for a player that will likely bolt 12 months later. |

Reinhart is a righty and not better than Klefbom, Sekeras or Davidson or Nurse, our other right handed D.
Pysyk is only better than Reinhart in your eyes cuz you're a Sabres fan. Admit it. |

No, Pysyk has strong analytics ratings and most people who know more about hockey then anyone on here (including me) say he is a good player who when put in the right situations can be a very solid player for a team. Reinhart is on his 2nd team all ready and not saying he's bad but Pysyk has shown more in the NHL level which isn't saying too much but is a fact. |

Not on this site. And I know you were talking about Reinhart. I was agreeing when saying people think Reinhart would be a better option here than Pysyk |
