I guess better than Sutter means all of those things to you geniuses. I mean Sutter is after all a potential 1C. - RonPielep

There's a reason Lemieux called Sutter a future hall of famer, genius. |

Bennington gave a lot of info.
He referred to EG as a top 4 Dman a few times. He also said he would partner with Hutton. That makes your top 4 Edler Tanev EG and Hutton.
He also said a few times that they are drafting at 5 and will replace with a top 6 forward. He did say there was a Dman they had ranked in top 6. - VANTEL
That was interesting to hear.
Our top two pairings are taking shape. No room for Hamhuis unless he is moving out a dman or two...

He has been. But he is an easily replaceable integral part of that team. - Retinalz
Or maybe if Sutter was in his spot Kessel and Hagelin wouldn't click and it would have failed. Who is to say.
Whether he is easily replaceable or not is complete conjecture. They've been trying to fill that role since they lost Jordan Staal. |

Canucks fans on twitter seem like a sad bunch. Basically all the time. It's amazing - nucks_94
Oh, I thought Twitter was a brilliant Sam Pollock hockey mind that was so angry about the trade that he self combusted. |

You are making an argument contradicting some position on Bonino I haven't taken at all. Take a couple seconds and reassess.
My whole point wasn't that Bonino is some amazing 1C (even though some genius said Sutter was ), I never tried to say that at all. My point was he is providing a lot more impact and importance to his team since the trade than Sutter has.
But yes, if you wanna keep talking about Bonino statues like that's somehow what I was implying then feel free to continue to make a fool of yourself. - RonPielep
Holy (frank) man.
Bonino is playing with the best winger the Pens have had in a long, long time.
Hagelin is also one of their better wingers.
Do you really, for an instant believe Sutter couldn't put up numbers with those 2 players? |

If they still bring back Hamhuis on a very cheap deal everyone wins. |

Guess this signals that Hamhuis ain't coming back. - dbot

I have no clue whether he would or not.
But I certainly wouldn't just assume Sutter would have the chemistry with those two wingers that Bonino has. That would be a pretty stupid assumption especially considering how well that line is playing together right now and considering Sutter has never put up numbers remotely similar to those in his entire career. |

I think he likes the top 4 now. Edler NTC and Tanev is the best player on Team Canada |

This trade makes it easier to move on (although i was ready to move on at TDL)
Edler-Tanev
Hutton-Gudbranson
Tryamkin-Sbisa?
Pedan
Thats a nice tough D core (aside from Tanev and Hutton) |

True, unless he really wants to stay here.
Family man, has made lots of money over his career. Not saying he will, just he might really want to stay. |

Neither has Bonino.
Actually, he put up about 25 points this season. |

Putting aside that Sutter is a 1c(he isn't btw) Sutter would put up the same or possibly better numbers playing with hag and kess. Pitts traded Sutter because they needed to save the cap space. |
