HOLY (frank)....Benning is a (frank)in idiot, I don't know how much more of him and his trades I can take. I understand what he's trying to accomplish, but (frank) (frank) me, stop overpaying for good in a scrum kinda guy. It's ludicrous.

You can bet your ass he's going hard after UFA's because either him or ownership has zero plans to build slowly through the draft.

Bonino is playing with the best winger the Pens have had in a long, long time.

Hagelin is also one of their better wingers.

A couple of things.

I don't think our draft pick will make our lineup, and if he does that speaks volumes of our lineup.

Also, although I think we will play 7 Dmen this season regularly I think Tryamkin will slot in over Larsen, and Sbisa.

According to Spats they will get a shot at Matthews..

Benning has to do something to start acquiring all of these picks he is giviing away. This is where that shink trade looks even more horrible. Dealing him for calgarys 2nd this year would have given us much more flexibility. Granlund is not an NHL player. TO have him as a 4th line center is a waste of an asset, you can sign a 4th line center year after year.

I like this trade but this guy gives up picks and players like there candy. This is the first deal of his I have liked. THe problem now becomes what does he cost to sign to an extension and what if he walks..

Also, how much worse does the Sbisa contract look right now. Is he a buy out candidate cus no one will trade for him.
