I am not taking it up with them. I am taking it up with you. YOU made the comment. I want you to back up your own words.
So far all you have is somehow the Leafs did something dodgy by keeping Robidas on IR. Is that supposed to be your arguement for the tank job? - Aetherial
my argument for the tank job is the myriad of articles out of toronto talking and discussing the 'tank' job... google 'tank job toronto' and you'll get a thousand articles from toronto on how they did it and how it worked for them... even saying they did a better job than buffalo did the season before...
i already gave you one link. that's my basis for the tank job and back up with a reference. what more do you want?? lols
it was franking tank job. get over it. |

I think Vancity is set then. Don't need to worry about the Canucks cause at some point if not already
the BC curling team, Vancouver Giants or Portland little league team will win championships - DeflatedPucks
We'll reserve an extra crying towel for you when the Pens are schooled by the Sharks in the final...poor thing... |

It's an upgrade on D sure.
Just not sure a team with an aging core up front should be giving up on young forwards like McCann and Shinkaruk (previously) - stormey
Im not a huge fan on the trade, I have high expectations on McCann but unfortunately finding and acquiring good defensemen is extremely difficult. Young forwards are much easier to find in comparison, especially when you consider the pool of players coming from college free agency and European leagues |

We are deep enough at center now where obviously MNGT thinks Granlund is a better option for 4LC than McCann. It is what it is. Top 4 Dmen cost a lot and the price was steep but it fills a massive need for us...it was a good move. |

It is but that's life. Look around the past few years of trades for top 4 dmen and the prices are right in line. I'm ok with the deal even though we were a bit steep on the picks...gotta give to get. |

Thank you. The outrage over this trade for a solid right handed dman for an unproven child is ridiculous.
We NEED Dmen. The second rounder hurts. But atleast we know what were getting going forward. They havent got a clue.
And Dmen take longer to form their game. This dude is young and is most likely still improving at 24.

Tanev is soft and we need solid d men. trade when his value is high and get the former 1OA (who will come alive like Baertschi has in a new environment) and get their 3rd rd pick where you select a dman or package it off with Hansen to get 1st rounder. - kaptaan
Edmonton would do that in a heartbeat, that's how you know it's rediculous |

So because you think your "regional NFL team" won a superbowl, the Vancouver area has a championship team?
- DeflatedPucks
Putting aside NFl, our CFL team has won their fair share of championships. |

After the top 15 this draft goes south really quick. I have heard numerous insiders saying that scouts don't think their is any true top NHL D in this draft. There are no Ekblads or Jones. After the top 15 it's a crapshoot of mediocre players. - VANTEL
Yes the people saying its a deep draft are clueless (like Pratt today). It's a deep top 20. Falls off a cliff |

Yeah I dont hate the trade, the price for Top 4 under 25 is always going to be very high. I do like that JB is filling in the age gap from previously poor draft years. I just liked McCann and the draft scouting report he came with and was hoping to see how he panned out for the Canucks. Hopefully Gudbranson helps solidify things on the back end for the next 6-8 years, and Dubois/Tkachuk do well to help the loss of McCann |
