Maybe not deep, but certainly not weak. After the big 3 you've got McAvoy, Fabbro, Bean available in the mid-late 1st and Johansen, Green, Girard, Dineen, Hajek, Sambrook, Mete, Allard, Day, and Clague likely around through the 3rd round. All are good-to-great prospects who either lack an outstanding quality to their game, are boom or bust type guys (Clague, Girard, Allard, Mete), or simply couldn't live up to high expectations (Day). - MaximumBone

If anyone thinks JB is not done dealing we never know if he gets pretty picks back - Nighthawk
He got picks back in his first two deals, that's it unless you count the times he gave up a better one.
I wouldn't hold my breath. |

Taking a flyer on another RHD - Nighthawk
But at 6'0 and 186lbs he's smaller than Jared McCann, who I was reliable lead to believe wasn't big enough from an earlier comment in this thread |

I have never ever written a resume in my life. When I finished University with a masters degree in chemical engineering I had my pick of jobs, they solicited me. Worked for 7 years for Methanex in Vancouver well completing my thesis for my PHD & have been self employed ever since. I travel extensively allowing me a ton of time to watch hockey, read about hockey & now manage 8 very expensive keeper fantasy leagues in my spare time. I have season tickets still to 3 teams; Edmonton, Calgary & Dallas. I was a Canucks seasons ticket holder until the completion of this season & had been for over 25 years 8k+ annually. Couldn't give my tickets away last season to 17 games I was unable to attend, ironically including SJ on both dates in March.
What does that say about the state of the Canucks?
Thank you for caring though. I'm sorry if you've had to repeatedly. |

Not happening….when the Canucks finish tenth last next year because they have no top six forwards Jim Benning will be fired along with his idiot boss. And unfortunately the process will continue until ownership realizes you have to build a winner through the draft.
And on and on it goes... - LeftCoaster
The Oilers model of building through the draft only is not sound. Unlike you, JB doesnt seem to think McCann has a good shot at replacing Henrik so that puts him into the log jam at C. Using him to acquire a young RD was something many felt was probably going to happen. Those people got a good read on the situation.
I just don't see JM being a 1 C that is going to be competitive in the West. 2nd C maybe... but we have Horvat and Sutter now.
With the draft just a few weeks away, Dubois will very likely be available and more of a type we want and if not,,, I still like Tkachuck as a winger over McCann which is what the scouts and GM's seem to think JM is better suited for.
After how many times you told me you don't think Sam Reinhart has top line potential because of foot speed... I'm going to have to say they have a better eye for this than you.

Pedan could be going to the Avs say.
A Tom Nilsson type grit could be an omen

Biega is signed to a 1 way contract, which is unfortunate because I don't see him seeing much ice. I think Benning will make many more moves, and will try and acquire some picks in the process. (I hope) - Codes1087

Oh it's an omen alright.
I just don't think that you'll be happy with what it foreshadows... |

Pedan has to make the team as a 7th D.
He won't clear waivers i bet so i smell a possible trade happening.
Nilsson is AHL help. |

That's got to be the largest and meanest D in the league
Hopefully Edler can stay healthy and Hutton can grow offensively. Larson can swap in for Pedan when we need extra offense!
