I wasn't on board with trading for rights until recently. I think it would be big to whoever can do so to have so much time before June 26 or whenever the pre-UFA talking period starts.

Turned out badly, but it worked with Ehrhoff, and he was someone who had his rights traded prior, said no to NYI, and then went to Buffalo and said yes.

Yep, even if Stamkos is declining, he'll be a 28-35 range goal scorer, and likely equal to that in assists. What late-mid 1st round picks will be doing that?
