Wouldn't that eat up all of the Sabres' cap monies? What happens with girglesons, foligno, rustolian, etcs? - Streit2ThePoint
We can replace them with and Rhinehardt, Delorian, and Bagosian |

It's been done before and it will be done again. Regardless of the player.
That team is way too tight to keep everyone beyond this year. It's going to come down to keeping Stammer or keeping Kucherov and depth. - TheSabresTaco
I am sure not betting on any outcome. Too many moving variables. Love to see him here . But life has taught me me to realistic. |

The curious part of the entire drama is the huge monetary advantage that Tampa holds. First, there is no state income tax paid on earnings. Second, only Tampa can offer an 8 year deal. All other teams are limited to 7 years. if for example, several teams, including the Bolts, offered him $10m per year. The bolts offer is $10m. more on the gross because of the 8 years. And the savings on State tax comes in around another $9.6m over the life of the deal. I just don't believe his agent has any intention of his leaving nearly $20m on the table to sign somewhere else. - spatso
Maybe you don't really understand the way income tax works here in our country. As a starting point, take into consideration that we are a federated republic of interdependent but sovereign states, each with the right to pass legislation regulating the levying and collection of taxes. Move next to the concept of Municipal Home Rule, by which most of those interpendent by sovereign states permit the cities within their borders to adopt their own ordinances (many of which impose taxes for the benefit of those same enabled municipalities).
Are you ready to move to Chapter 2? |

They're not ready to spend big yet. Time for them to make some "creative" trades for the forwards and pay big on defence. Once the team has some sort of success and an established core then you can consider making the big moves in FA. |

Actually, Buffalo would be the perfect fit for Stamkos. Leader for a young developing team and very close to his hometown without playing for the poopty team of his hometown. |

If a player like Stamkos is a free agent they should be spending big money players like that don't hit free agency |

He's leaving Tampa. Not negotiating, they can't afford to keep him. Drouin is a fine replacement at wing. |

Speaking of Tampa, Alex Killorn/Ondrej Palat is what Girgensons could be if he turned it around. Need those typed of players |
