If players don't improve somewhat, or at least get a bit better, why employ shooting coaches or goalie coaches or skating coaches? - Makita
I think shooting coaches do help to some extent but they aren't going to make a defensive defencman a goal scoring defencman was all I meant. If they improve Tanev by 2 goals money well spent? |

It is not that we find the 2nd more valuable(at least not me). I just feel that McCann was the price for Gudbranson and the picks needed to even/sweet then deal to get him over EDM. - Retinalz
I've seen several post suggesting that they didn't care about losing McCann, but the 2nd round pick hurts. I'd much rather have given up two 2nds and kept McCann. |

Gudbranson doesn't get dealt without McCann. The reason the 2nd hurts is because it was this years 2nd. if it was next years or the CBJ 2nd, we wouldn't be caring about it either. |

As Benning said, that 2nd round pick wouldn't play for the Canucks for atleast 5 years. We need to win now. Winning the cup next year will make everyone forget about that 2nd round pick. |

On Tanevs part absolutely, he's identified an area in his play that needs improvement, I don't think anyone including Tanev thinks he's suddenly going to have a Shea Weber shot, or score from the blue line like Erhoff used to. |

I agree, McCann has more worth and again think the price was fair. McCann whether right or wrong was perceived as redundant or expendable because of other C's. But we haven't had enough high picks for a team that needs to add prospects and I think that's why people may be more upset about the picks. |

They had him at wing. Fla will probably have him at wing. |

Ya Florida is really deep down the middle with young centers, unlike the Canucks, Barkov, Trochek & Bjugstad. He'll play wing for them I'd imagine. |

TBT I thought if he did remain with Canucks I never seen him as a top 6 centre. I know he had a whole lot of growing to do but I never seen Draisaitl skills . I seen him at best as a 3C.
I do see Bo as a top 6 , and to your disappointment I do see Hank here for 4 more years. Not what I want , but I see it happening |

I've seen reports that he will move to the wing and McCann will play in the middle. |

I thinks he's gonna be a good top six center somewhere, he's really skilled and his skating is way better than Draisaitl's....he's not small either, apparently he's up to 194 pounds. By the time he's 22 he's going to be really good! |

Makes sense....McCann is really skilled, as I just said in post to Vantel. Give him a couple years to get some man-strength and he'll be a really good top six center. |

I wish the kid well, he stayed for a cup of coffee with the Canucks but I won't regret the move. Nothing drives me crazier than seeing people whining about trading Bonino or Garrison |

Wouldn't it be nice if Pedan could play like the game he had all of those hits? That could be a bloody big D core. |

We should trade our 1st overall for Erik Karlssen. |

Bonino and Garrison weren't 19 years old on a rebuilding team, but ya I like the acquisition, just not the price.
I do like he's fixing the backend though. But lots more needs to be done. |
