Wouldn't it be nice if Pedan could play like the game he had all of those hits? That could be a bloody big D core. - VANTEL
If Desjardins plays him on the wing again I'm gonna hop the boat a hit him in the solar plexus. |

I wish the kid well, he stayed for a cup of coffee with the Canucks but I won't regret the move. Nothing drives me crazier than seeing people whining about trading Bonino or Garrison - VANTEL

I thought he started with, Sbisa, Calendering, Weber, Bartkowski? |

It's funny, but it's really not
Outside of the Kesler trade, which he gets a pass on, and the Baertschi trade, which was a gamble that worked, he really hasn't made a trade that significantly improved the team and he's paid a lot during those transactions. |

I think he is very good at trading
Sven Etem Gudbrandson Sutter all fine trades.
Vey was a stopgap.
Sbisa was thrown in.
He hasn't won them all but he is adding necessary pieces to the team
People criticize him but when Kesler was on the auction block every one herein including yourself were asking for Etem and Bonino from The Ducks or Sutter Pulliot from Pitt or Terravenin. He got what we wanted |

You have to give to get, starting with a team that missed the playoffs and saddled with ntc's, it is hard to deal from a position of strength.

I never wanted Boner, he sucks, his skating is atrocious. I've always been a proponent of being able to skate, if you can't, you're not my kinda player. I did like Etem though! I wanted Shea Theodore.
I was not a fan of Sutter's either, he's a slight upgrade on Boner and Benning send Pittsburgh a second to get it done....that shouldn't have happened IMO.
In the end he got Etem, but after watching him I don't think he's any better than Jensen to be honest...I think Benning threw a 7th into that deal as well? |

Well it not David Booth, Derrick Roy , Keith Carney , and Keith Ballard for three first rounders, but I am sure Benning will get better as years go on. |

Absolutely, not to mention he didn't have a prospect pool with which to use as bait. |

Sutter is like Maholtra . It is not his fault Canucks are aging and didn't plan better. He is a solid trade , a good fast 2 way centre. Bo will pass him within two years and things wil be as they should. Dubois will fix McCanns hole |

If Bonino wasn't gonna work out I'd rather he waited until he could've traded for a legit top six center, which Sutter is not.
Yes Sutter insulates Horvat, but at the end of the day the Canucks are only slightly better as a team with Sutter behind Hank...and they're still not a very good team. |

Tough spot to start with, how do you move on from status quo if you are afraid to lose a trade or make one?
I don't like the idea of pi$$ing away picks, but you look at a club like Edmonton that had the talent in the forward group, they were afraid to lose a trade and never traded for a dman.
Time will tell if JB's moves are in the right direction, if he gave up too much.
Fingers crossed he doesn't go crazy term on older ufa's. |

You say he is not a top 6 centre but Benning who has seen him play many more games than you, and has scouted him live , thinks he is.
Benning is a GM of a NHL club, you and I are fans of NHL clubs. I hope you don't mind but I will trust him more than us. |

I don't know.
Kesler plus two seconds,a third and a fourth
For
Sutter, Gudbranson, Sbisa , a third and a fifth sound like a good deal to me. |
