That makes him just about the only hockey player ever to go to a bar after a game. The Hawks should have traded Patrick Kane.
- golfingsince

I heard they were thinking about it this past summer with the rape allegations.

Love the Nilsson signing. He's going to be a great 3rd pair d man for years to come. Defense is taking shape nicely, just need to trade Edler and/or Sbisa.

Hutton Gudbranson

according to that website Bruins were believers since 2007. I guess all behind Jim Bennings back?
- anavar

I have no idea the accuracy of that site but here are some other quotes that tend to back up that the Bruins do/did use some.

Sept 2014

Bruins head coach Claude Julien said Tuesday that Boston keeps track of advanced stats, but it’s not the only factor when grading players or looking at the team’s performance.

Oct 2012

As both a former player and president of a team, Neely can see both sides of it. He feels that the stats are a helpful supplemental tool, but he feels players are better off not getting into them the way everyone else might.

an article claiming the Bruins were in on "sleep doctors" during the 2011 finals.

http://www.vancitybuzz.co...game-7-stanley-cup-final/

Ryan Nadeau is the current Director of Hockey Operations/Analytics and has been part of the Bruins organization for 13 years although he had that title since 2014 and here is Chia on it.

“It’s not a new thing — we’ve always done it,” Chiarelli said of using analytics. “But we wanted to augment the department a little bit. He’ll be in charge of doing that. It’s always a supplemental piece to our decision-making. We just wanted to make sure we’re growing it and doing it properly, and Ryan has been with the organization for quite a while.

Got to fire Benning and put someone who knows what they are doing in charge. Vancouver is a beautiful city. They just need much better managment. And these bandaid moves don't work. I've been through them being a leaf fan the past decade.

Thank you for your insight and caring. Although, as you clearly don't understand Nilssons value I'm extremely skeptical about anything you say

What is nilssons value? He was shipped out from the leafs to get under 50 contracts and let go from the islanders camp. He is a prospect but dont pencil him in on the canucks

After the leafs make round 4 for the first time in their history, then we will stop laughing at advice from its fans. Until then, please give us more advice on how to build a team properly. I am at work and could always use a good laugh.

So I just listened to what Jim had to say on hockey central. I like his reasoning and his thoughts on going forward. If Dubois is available at 5 this was a good move. It sounded to me like he wasn't done. He knows he gave up a lot but I am of the same opinion on this one. Big top 4 defencman that can play a ton of minutes at only 24 years old don't come cheap and are rarely available. This was a good move. My biggest complaint was the defence. I really don't think that this year is that deep a draft where I worry about a second pick.

I think they want playoff wins more than playoff dollars. I think a healthy team this year would have made the playoffs. Our biggest problem in years past is we would make the playoffs but we're not tough enough. He is changing that. This is about wining
- VANTEL

even if the canucks had been fully healthy this year I don't see any playoff wins...or playoffs.

If he can trade Hansen to the Capitals, Blues, Kings, Ducks or whomever for a 1st then I'm totally fine with giving up the 2nd round pick to get Gudbranson.

I agree that if we get Dubois, there is no need for McCann. Not sure why this trade couldn't wait until we found that out, but I guess he was pressured into it.

The longest serving and most successful captain in team history, demoted like a chump and likely to be dumped like a very expensive ex-wife.
